Amazing experience It is our first trip to Japan and our hosts were so kind and hospitable that we felt truly welcome. We received a lot of valuable information and suggestions. We made fresh eggs PASTA (busiate, maccheroncini, farfalle orecchiette ecc) together and spent a very pleasant time whith them and their feiends. The rooms are really big and it’s very worth the money, there’s also a free flow drink dispenser. Parking was also available. The staff was super friendly too.

Very nice traditional Japanese house, conveniently located near the metro that goes to Osaka, Nara and Kyoto. Staff was incredibly kind and even lent me their umbrella when it was raining. The place was clean, the bathroom was spacious, and the futons were very comfortable. I also enjoyed the Japanese traditional breakfast. I would definitely recommend it!

Our two weeks at the Murakin Guesthouse were great! The location is fantastic, as you are situated on the hillside in Higashiōsaka, overlooking all of Ōsaka from there - you'll have beautiful views over the entire bay area, both at day and night, from this neighborhood. There are some parks and observation decks close-by, which offer even better views, completely unobstructed. The closest train station, Ishikiri Station, is only about 5 minutes away on foot. From there you can reach the city center of Ōsaka in less than 20 minutes. If you go in the other direction, you can reach Nara in just 20 minutes as well. Even in your immediate neighborhood, there's a cute traditional shopping street with local specialty shops that extends all the way down the hillside. At the end of the shopping street you will also encounter the famous Ishikiri Tsuguriya Shrine! Our hosts were very friendly and helpful, and communication was quick and easy, whenever we needed help with something. The room was nice and spacious, and we were offered free water, tea, instant noodles etc. that guests can just take according to their own needs. I can definitely recommend this guesthouse strongly!

    The host together with her two dogs welcomed us the best way possible, we are so grateful! The location is incredible with a beautiful view on the city at night but also it is located near Hozan-ji which is a great and peaceful temple both during day and night times, I recommend !!
