We had stayed for one night. The location is a little ways away from the station, but still accessible by bus. We ran into the owner's son by chance on the bus and he advised us to get off two stations earlier than Google recommends (saves about ¥200 on the fare). The owner is really kind and had offered to take us into town for onsen and prepared us dinner. She even dropped us back to the station in the morning! There were many amenities for sale and use on premises. The location itself was charming and clean. The beds were comfy too. As others have said, there is a cat at this location, it is very cute and gentle.

Perfect location, the building / room is amazing and the staff is great. The kaiseki breakfast was really good - we’ll defo try the dinner next time.

The staff were so kind and helpful and very attentive to their guests. We felt so welcome and they went the extra mile to make our stay unforgettable. When they heard it was our honeymoon they were sure to make us little notes on our table for dinner which was very sweet. Beautiful old ryakon with plenty of traditional features. We immediately got to the right mood for our Japanese hot spring holiday. Our room was comfortable and the view to the gardens was simply stunning. I recommend visiting the garden during the morning, it's a good spot for photos. Very attentive staff and the breakfast was amazing!
