We had 2 wonderful nights here and we absolutely loved it. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. They even gave us a ride to the station (multiple times), provided bear bells for our hikes and even helped us cook dinner XD. Also, the breakfast was phenomenal! Woderful stay! The Hill Top was our base for three nights. This allowed us to do the Tsumago/Magome hike (one hour drive) as well as hiking Mt. Kisokoma-gatake (one hour drive). Getting there by car was made easier by the indications on the roadside for the last few kilometers. The hosts were exquisitely kind. Dinner was excellent and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the local wines. Breakfast was also excellent. Surroundings of the hotel are beautiful. One of our most pleasant stay in Japan.

The apartment was super clean and comfortable. You have a well equipped kitchen, laundry machine, dryer and even a bath tub. The owners are extremely nice and supportive. They picked us from the station upon arrival. On the way back we wanted to go on foot, but they came to pick the keys and brought us sandwiches and coffee!

We had an amazing stay at BYAKU. The room was amazing and clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating to our English speaking. The dining experience, in particular, was incredible and was a highlight of our time in Japan. BYAKU made us feel very special during our stay (it was our honeymoon) and I really couldn’t recommend them enough!
