The hotel restaurant is excellent. Very cozy place, food is delicious and the price is very reasonable. A big surprise. Hotel room is a bit small but very clean and with a big open air balcony so overall still great. Stall were also very polite and helpful.

The hosts are very lovely. They have bbq facility on site (1500 yen fee) which I highly recommend! It’s nice to have outdoor bbq. However, keep in mind that you will need to bring your own ingredients. To access this accomodation you will require a car as it is a bit far from the downtown.

It is a wonderful Onsen hotel in the heart of Nagano. The people working there a wonderful, helpful, the politeness is beyond every standard, even for Japan. We had an exceptional experience Futari Shizuka. The staff were very friendly and we had lovely Japanese ladies who personally showed us to our rooms and made tea for us, and offered local Japanese snacks. We had a lovely chat, albeit limited English from them. Dinner and breakfast were served in a private room, food and service were awesome! We had a birthday celebration and they prepared a lovely cake for us. We had such a wonderful stay that we are still reminiscing weeks after our trip.
