This is a lovely designer villa. Surrounded by mountains of fresh snow, the place feels absolutely magical. Efficient communication with the hosts. Well-appointed kitchen. Delicious coffee beans provided! Even a roofed place for your car so that you don't have to remove the snow in the morning! Highly recommended.

For our family, we enjoyed having the extra space for a week, compared to a hotel nearer the slopes for the same cost. The netflix streaming TV was great for the kids downtime and WiFi was decent. We were pleasantly surprised to have laundry detergent, washing up liquid and basic cleaning supplies already provided - though it would have been nice to have translation for the laundry machine. The kitchen was stocked with basic utensils and cooking pans, which made popping to the 7/11 (5 mins near by by car) easy for home meals. We also really enjoyed the electric grill for Japanese BBQ of sliced local meats. There were two clothes racks with hangers to dry our ski wear easily over night which was perfect for us with 4 pax. We hired a car and found it very convenient to drive 10-15 mins too all the ski locations on Niseko. Close location to 7/11 and the local cheap onsen next to the train station. In booking, they answered all my questions with fast communication.

This is resort is ideally located within the Hanazono Ski area, making accessing to the slopes effortless. The mattress was super comfy, ensuring a deep relax after a long day on the mountain. The front desk staff team was extremely helpful, special thanks to Harry whose assistance made this trip much smoother.

This holiday at the Setsu was a birthday present for my wife, who works hard in the medical field. We were not disappointed and in fact pleasantly surprised at this new hotel in Hirafu. The hotel service was outstanding and the room was beautifully designed with numerous extra appliances (washing machine, dishwasher) that my wife loved. This hotel challenges the five-star Park Hyatt in quality of stay, yet charges half the rates of that top-ranked hotel. The staff kindly wrote a a personal birthday card for her, and a birthday cake waiting in the refrigerator. We were touched by the personal service. Later I met the hotel manager, Ms. Tomata, to express my appreciation. Finally, the private onsen, public onsen, yoga classes and workout gym were a luxury bonus that we enjoyed.
