Wonderful stay with Gihan and Dinu! We stayed twice for a total of 7 nights. A wonderful, authentic experience in Sri Lanka. They are extremely kind and welcoming. They speak English very well, and we were able to take the time to ask questions and discuss many topics such as culture, sports, politics, food, customs, etc. This allowed us to better understand this country. They truly care about their guests, making sure we have everything we need and giving great tips for visiting the city and its surroundings. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner if needed (we recommend trying it at least once because it's delicious). We did the cooking program, which involves buying ingredients at the market and then cooking together. It was great to see all the flavors they add to the dishes we enjoyed afterwards. They know a contact for a safari in Wilpattu National Park and can help organize it. Regarding the accommodation, it's located on a very quiet alley. There's a kitchen available and a pleasant terrace overlooking the small garden. The rooms are well-equipped and pleasant. We recommend a stay here for a wonderful human experience. This place is perfect for backpackers, close to the bus station and to the archeological site, there are some places for eating 5min walking. This place by itself is really pretty, chill, quiet, and clean. There is a little kitchen, good wifi, good beds. You can even rent a bike ! As a solo female traveler I felt really safe and the owners were really nice to me, I loved my stay ! Thank you so much again guys, hope to see you again !

The family went above and beyond to make my stay amazing. Helped me with train ticket, gave me a lift to where I wanted to go, and served delicious food. The house is completely new, in a quiet location and from the roof you can see some of the temples of the sacred city. Lovely spacious rooms. I would love to come back.

Don and his wife are super hosts! The room and facilities were spotless and very well appointed, comfortable. Location is great & being well off the main road, was very quiet. Don was really helpful with information and advice, and really went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. We both appreciated our free flow conversations with him greatly, (he has worked with New Zealanders in Dubai and Australia so understands our accents and humour, fantastic for us).

We were truly grateful for the exceptional assistance provided by the property owner. His efforts in arranging our Wilpattu Safari and city tour guide made our stay even more memorable. The staff also left a lasting impression with their exceptional service. ThilakaRatne & his wife Kanchana are really hardworking & amazing hosts. The property itself is amidst the Paddy fields on one side & the jungle to the other side, which makes an ideal place to stay if you love nature. Thilakaratne has his own farm & he lays all those fresh produces on your table everyday. The Food they served were all very delocious & they were also very reasonably priced. I also took the tuktuk services, where he himself drove me around the Anuradhapura city ruins,concluding in Mihintale. If you are in Anuradhapura, I definitely recommend this place

    Very friendly and helpful family. The room was very clean. The location perfect, if you like to see the sacred City. It is just at the entry and you can easily explore everything by foot. There is a lot of wildlife arround. The breakfast ist fantastic.

    The homestay is in a great location, you have a beautiful view of the lake and can see the stupas in the background. By tuk-tuk it is 10 minutes to the ancient city and about 45 minutes to Wilpattu NP. The rooms are very clean, there was delicious food on request and the host was really nice and helpful. Really great!

    I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The receptionist was very supportive and made check-in a breeze. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, which made my stay even more comfortable. The location is fantastic with easy access to transportation and a variety of nearby restaurants. Overall, it was great value for money. Highly recommend!

    Coming from a no aircondition bb, we loved the rooms with aircondition! Very clean with large beds, soap available (not all places have that) and great location. Close to the new bus station, shops and supermarked, and still very quiet. The breakfast was cheap and delicious with plenty of food. Owner really friendly and even offered to take us to the old bus station upon departure. We would come back any time!
