What a wonderful place and a great adventure. We love the location, the little house is super clean, no mosquitoes and the best natural swimming pool. The food is amazing and the owners very sweet and helpful. We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed it to the moon and back. Highly recommended. Also the organized guided tours delivered more than we could hope for.

The accommodation is located near Sinharaja Forest Reserve in a beautiful valley with farms, fields and a lot of animals. We could see peacocks, fireflies and many bird species just outside on our patio. You get a lot of privacy in your villa and a great view over the valley. The villa was perfectly clean and the bed was also very comfortable. The hosts take excellent care of you while you are there. The meals we got were perfect - real local Sri Lankan food. We also did a short hike with the owner into the forest reserve which was a fantastic experience and we saw a lot of wild animals and took a swim in the river next to a waterfall.

My sister and I loved our stay at Evergreen Villa! It’s the perfect place to explore Sinharaja Forest Reserve. The family and staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. We used the villa as a base for our activities in the forest, which we booked directly through them. We did an evening/night walk—an experience we highly recommend—and two day-treks in the jungle to spot wildlife and admire waterfalls. Our guide, Mr. Ruan, was simply exceptional—extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to our needs. Our room was spotless and spacious, with a breathtaking view of the river and forest, along with a lovely private patio—perfect for relaxing. We also enjoyed vegan meals prepared by the family at their restaurant. One of the highlights of our stay was spending time with the wild dogs roaming the property, especially a mother with her three playful pups—they truly added to the experience! After our morning excursion in the jungle, the owner kindly allowed us to do a late check-out and take a shower before leaving—something we truly appreciated. We highly recommend Evergreen Villa for its excellent location, warm hospitality, and unforgettable nature experiences!

Absolutely amazing owner and family. So nice and helpfull, made our stay one to remember. The place is tucked away in beautiful lush rainforest, rooms very clean and food was great. Glass room was amazing with clear view of all animals and nature. 10/10. Will come back.

We found this place by accident and it was one of the best travel experiences we ever had. This is not only an accommodation, it’s a magical place. Be prepared for Pachamama, Mother Nature at its best and Sanjey, host would be an understatement, he is the king of the jungle. This man made our stay an unforgettable experience. Natural Mystic is without question an amazing spot but through Sanjey the place becomes what it is! Accompanied by a lovely family who make the best authentic healthy food you find in Sri Lanka and let us feel not like guest but friends <3 This is Hotel California, you can never leave, a piece of your heart will stay there forever. The whole experience was amazing. From the warm welcom through the beautiful room with great view. And Hemel , the owner that is a gifted guide to the rainforest. So kind and nice and at the same time knowlagble and quick to spot every living thing. They are a young couple with a little girl that own and run this amazing g place. Sitting on a beautiful hill do you see what I see? Or may be I'm dreaming? Because the picture not seems to be reality. Dozens of peacocks are walking. The night fog descends, revealing an incredible view of the mountains surrounded by jungle forest. And so on, so on. The house under the high trees is surrounded by the garden full of exotic plants and flowers. There is a great desire to sit all day at the cottage on a comforrable chair without moving, watching the amazing nature around. The host and his parents are very nice people. He is young and handsome,though his English is very good. He was our guide to the forest, where we spend the whole day watching various animals, insects and birds, listening to stories about them, as well as other details of the life of the relict forest Sinharaja. We have been swimming in several waterfalls. We got soaked in the rain. But we returned home happy and tired, where a delicious Sri Lankan dinner was waiting for us.

    Excellent location with Sinharaja Rain Forest literally on the doorstep and ideal for trekking. Breakfast and dinners good. Our car and driver could not get to the location but staff from Sinharaja Forest Edge sent a courtesy 4 x 4 to collect us to take us approximately 2km off road to the property which was great.

    An absolute gem and one of the very best places we stayed. Amazing location, very clean and comfortable, lovely host family and lots of extra’s including a stocked mini bar. If you are visiting Sinharaja then this is the perfect accommodation. Our hosts arranged our hike, (which was quite challenging) with a guide and a picnic. Our driver found accommodation very nearby.

    Wonderful nice stay. Front of the river.. See lot of birds in location.rooms very clean and conformable. Host very kind and helpful. Home made foods was delicious. Hotel organised rainforest tour excellent. Good price tour charges. We love nice family. Come back your stay next time. Highly recommend.

    Central location next to the rainforest. An oasis of calm with a beautiful view over the river, a great for bird watching. Comfortable and spacious bedroom which has glass casing - you feel in the jungle. A good sized modern bathroom with hot water and good towels. Very clean all round. Saman and his family were fabulous hosts, warm and welcoming, cooking delicious dinners and breakfasts. Great value for money. A magical experience.

    Location. It is next to Sinharaja forest and Pitabeddarance entrance is just 20m away. It was ideal if someone is trying to hike Sinharaja.

    This place is in a great location right on the edge of the park, however, the owner/manager of this place, along with the cleanliness of the bedding and the construction of the budget accommodation, really lets it down.
