Perfect base for relaxation & tranquility prior yo a safari trip. The hosts & staff were unbelievably welcoming,friendly and went above & beyond to make our stay memorable, sadly it vwas only for one night. The setting is truly beautiful, the spice trail set in the grounds & visit to their cinnamon farm is a must. The hosts shared their knowledge & passion throughout . Dinner and lunch were plentiful, delicious,authentic freshly cooked Sri Lankan cuisine. We dined outside the beautiful surroundings of palm trees & lush countryside The bedrooms were well air conditioned & beds really comfortable. We travelled with teenagers & their needs were totally met & all slept like logs. The hosts organised our 5.30am safari & provided a lovely packed breakfast for us to take.

I had the pleasure of staying at Farm Villa Resort in Katharagama for two nights, and it was a wonderful and memorable experience from start to finish! 🌿 From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and heartfelt. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. Special mention to the front office team – truly a gem in hospitality! The room was spacious, the bathroom was very big, and the overall comfort . The clean and inviting swimming pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing in the serene atmosphere. What makes Farm Villa Resort truly special is its beautiful location surrounded by nature. The resort is set amidst lush paddy fields, and there's a charming little lake flowing through the property, creating a peaceful, scenic environment ideal for rest and reflection. I enjoyed walking through the paddy fields, listening to the birds in the mornings, and even got to pick fresh fruits from the garden! 🍌🌾 It's also conveniently located – just a short walk to the sacred Kirivehera and Katharagama Dewalaya, making it perfect for both pilgrims and nature lovers.One of the biggest highlights was the full-day Yala Safari arranged by the hotel – an absolutely amazing adventure! 🐘🦁 We saw incredible wildlife, and everything was perfectly organized with a knowledgeable guide.The food was another standout. The traditional Sri Lankan dinner was flavorful and authentic, clearly made with care and love. The breakfast offered plenty of variety, and every meal was beautifully presented. We loved our stay! Rooms are huge, as well as the bed, and super comfortable. The staff very friendly and the cook excellent. Gabriel and his family are a delight. he helped us at all times and provided us with the info we needed to go on safari. The lodge is very close to Yala Park so it is a must if you plan to visit.

The room was spacious, with high ceilings and big comfortable queen-sized beds. Everything was clean and had everything we needed for a short stay. Great value for the price! You can also ask to store your food in the fridge if needed. But what really made our stay special was the amazing hospitality. We arrived a bit late and the owner was very kind to drive us to a nearby restaurant that was still open. He also helped us find a driver to another city late at night and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

I recently stayed at Rathna Holiday Resort during my visit to Kataragama Devalaya and was incredibly impressed! The location is incredibly convenient—just a short walk to the Kataragama Devalaya and very close to the town. Despite being near the town, the environment is calm and peaceful, especially at night, offering a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The room and washroom were spotless and in excellent condition, providing all the comfort I needed. What truly stood out was the stunning mountain view from the location, which made my stay even more memorable. Overall, Rathna Holiday Resort is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Kataragama. Highly recommend!t

We spend 2 nights in this very special hotel. The host is charismatic persone, it was a big pleasure to speak with him. He build the rooms around a three - the fantastic artwork. The hotel is close to the Yale park, many animals come but it is safe and quiet. The food was beter than excellent. The host organized for us 5 hrs safari in Yale park. One evening he showed us the prayers in Kateragama temples - fantastic. Last day he drove us to the bus station free of charge. We strongly recommend this hotel.

Very quiet place, hosts were really kind. dinner at the restaurant was tasty. We had full day Safari at Yala National Park and it was beautiful. Our driver Roschanne during the Safari was great, I highly recommend him 10/10. We also spotted a leopard at 5 pm. Roschanne was so nice with us.
