I had a wonderful stay at Alakamandava spending 4 nights here at the beginning and end of a 2 week holiday. The beautiful apartment and location is peaceful and perfect to relax and unwind after a long flight, yet a short tuk tuk ride away from Colombo City. The hosts Dharshana and Bhagya ensure that you have everything you need, and the breakfast and meal choices were superb, really enjoyed the Sri Lankan options (although I had to Google some things, and there's also Pasta and Pizza etc.. As a solo traveller I felt completely safe here, it's very homely and so many pretty terraces to sit and look over the neighbourhood. I enjoyed watching the tree Squirells, and many different birds.. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Sri Lanka.

Unlike anything I’ve seen before. Rooms and common areas are artfully decorated with trinkets from around the world. My room was overlooking the lake and it felt like I was living in the jungle, surrounded by plants. Bed was super comfy and the rain shower was great. The pool and view over the lake were incredible. Staff were attentive and friendly. Food was delicious, we had plans to head out to Colombo but decided to stay and enjoy the property and had all our meals there. A personalised experience with great hosts, thanks for everything!

Well quiet place. Friendly landlord.lot of helpful information. As a srilankan came from uk they offered string hopper and kiribath another day with fresh fruits and juice. Tea was great. My son loves coffee he loves too.Mr.kumara who serve food and room service with pleasant smile and humble. We love it. If we come we come again. Most place we been cheated with commends. This place is great. We wish them the best. Trust me you'll be enjoy. Because I don't want you'll be to disappointed. Speak the truth we traveller's as one. We don't don't each other.     Well located, lovely place, spotless clean and very calm, 100% can keep a privacy, such a grate place to stay friends and family, and it gives much privacy for the couples. And the bachyard is wonderfull with the paddy. Worth for money. And the caretaker was very friendly. We are hope to come again.

    This was a fantastic accommodation with an amazing view. The location was really good as it was close to many restaurants and high way entrance. There was a supermarket in the building and it was a very secure apartment. The pool was very useful and roof top was an added bonus. Bedroom were comfortable, all needed items for a comfortable stay was provided. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again when I'm back in sri lanka.

    We are from Rome Italy and we started this propety its very close to Sourthen highway only 1 km to the entrence and 30 minutes from International Airport Colombo This vila is in wonderful peaceful relaxing environment. We were able to stay very comfortably and it’s very clean all required facilities available free WiFi TV hot water etc The staff is very friendly and flexible warm welcoming manager excellent continental breakfast offered Defensively we will stay at the same property on our next visit too
