Just had a wonderful two night stay in this beautifully kept hotel, set in woodland allowing wildlife-watching from the balcony. . The room was immaculately clean, light, airy and well presented. The staff were super friendly and very helpful in making our stay comfortable and our onward journey seamless. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were beautifully presented and excellent value.. We hired bikes (organised by the hotel) which were great for getting to and around the ancient city. Highly recommend a stay at Wildesacpe.

The location was beyond expectations. Two separate cabins were situated next to each other. Each had two double beds, air conditioning, tea or coffee making facilities, a mosquito net and linen and toiletries. There was a small balcony with seating for four persons and the balcony was right next to the electric fence separating the forest reserve around Parakrama Samudraya man made lake. The view in the morning from the balcony was exceptional, and we could watch the sun rise amidst many water and land birds flying around us. We identified a grey heron, purple heron, many king fishers, peacocks, green and blue tailed bee eaters, a crimson backed golden back (woodpecker) among the numerous birds and two mongooses had a playful morning right before our eyes. The breakfast and dinner were delicious with three types of local fruits plus the meal. The host Sanka was lovely, providing us with our meals on the dot. He also found d accommodation for our driver in a nearby place. There is a wooden elephant making workshop right next to the cabins and our friend from Germany was delighted to watch elephant carving from wood and purchased 5 beautiful elephants. There are shops to buy common items within 200 meters of the cabins and bicycles are available for rent for those who like to cycle. We spent a lot more time in the cabin than we expected as we didn’t want to leave bird watching from our balcony!!

Beautiful location in a garden with fruit trees and flowers. Our hosts were a very charming family. We ate delicious breakfast and dinners on the balcony. Guest accommodation upstairs and private, my sister and I had two very good rooms facing onto the garden. Close enough to ride bikes ( provided) to the Ancient City. Credit cards accepted.

The stay in was wonderful. The room was spacious, clean. The home is located just next to the ancient site, it wii tak you 5 nins to get there on your way back home. Everything ☺️ The staff are super helpful and don’t mind spending time to explain things and impart knowledge. We arrived after lunch time due to rain delays, and the manager made a plan for lunch without making us feel we were a bother. Delicious food 😋 and comfortable accommodation 👍🏻 A definite must stay when en route or even a few days to relax next to the pool. The garden is lush and tranquil 🌹🙏🏼

We are a family from the UK who visited Sri Lanka for a holiday. While searching for a good apartment or villa near the temples and relics in the Polonnaruwa area, we came across this little gem. Pearl White was one of only two properties available for our chosen dates. At first, we were a bit hesitant to book, as it was a recently listed property with just two reviews, both from local visitors. However, I decided to reach out to the property, and I was able to connect directly with the owner, Sisira. He was kind enough to explain the facilities in detail and share valuable insights about the place. Our conversation gave us a very good understanding and helped build our confidence in choosing Pearl White over the other options. It turned out to be a fantastic decision! We thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay and we booked the entire villa. The location is excellent, very close to the town centre and major heritage sites. The villa itself is spacious, cozy, and exceptionally clean from the beds and linen to the toilets. Everything was well-maintained. We found every little convenience available, from matchboxes and a lit barbecue to massage bathtubs. I highly recommend this property without any hesitation, and we would definitely love to return. Special thanks to Sisira for taking such good care of us and always being reachable via WhatsApp whenever we needed anything.

    This was one of our best stays in Sri Lanka. Fantastic room with pool view. Great AC , fantastic bathroom. Spotlessly clean. Great pool, beautiful views to rice fields. Lovely buffet breakfast.     The deal was with no breakfast. The location is very quite and it is ok The villa is new and spacy I like the screen tv and the good wifi. The villa owner was a very helpful and trying his best to offer the best to make us comfortable.     The location is perfect, close to the entrance of the old city. Very friendly and helpful owner (and his family) who arranged bicycles and transport to the next destination for a reasonable price. Also great to talk with them about several issues. Very clean and well maintained rooms and outside area.

    The room is basic and simple, but at the same time it has all the necessities. Possibility to cheaply rent bikes to visit the ancient city of Polonnaruwa and the owner Kalum is also a Safari guide. At first with my wife we weren't sure to do it or not because we were in a low-budget holiday, but then we decided to do it and it's worth absolutely every penny!! An amazing experience and impossible to describe it with words: you gotta do it to understand!! Super recommended 👍🏻

    Location is perfect, very close to ancient city ticket office. Bus stops are within short distance as well. The room is very clean and fully functional, and the owners are extremely kind and caring, they will even provide a bicycle to visit surroundings. Look no further for your stay in Polonnaruwa.

    Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend if its in your budget. Pool was fantastic. General ambiance of the hotel was lovely. The staff were fantastic, we had a tour of the property on arrival and were shown the queens suit (with the golden bathtub!) Which we really enjoyed. My aircon didn't work in my room and I was immediately upgraded to a deluxe suite (very nice!). Breakfast was good as well. Location was ideal, very close to the ruins and beautifully located over the lake.
