The hotel is absolutely new. Our room was spacious, fresh, and very clean, with a nice and well-maintained bathroom. If I ever visit Arugam Bay again, I would definitely stay here again — out of all the hotels in this price range, this one is the best! The hotel is run by a very polite and kind family who made us feel welcome. The location was excellent — on the main road, within walking distance to cafes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and just a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride to the beach, but you can also walk to it (20 minutes) It was quiet at night, and we had a very peaceful stay. There’s also a lake next to the hotel, where elephants sometimes come to drink — a beautiful sight to witness. All guest rooms are located on the second floor. They also plan to open a restaurant soon on the ground floor.

The property was amazing! It was very quiet and peaceful. The chalet was such a fun spot to stay a few nights, surrounded by a beautiful garden and art made by the owner. You can tell they have put a lot of love and thought into the details and it just feels a little bit magical staying there :) The food was delicious and the hosts were so kind and accomodating. It’s an easy walk to the beach.

This family-run hotel was incredible. The hosts were so kind and helpful - they drove us wherever we needed and helped with everything. The home-cooked food was delicious, with huge, satisfying portions that we looked forward to every day. We truly felt at home and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

Since it was far from the city and you were next to the beach, we walked to Whiskey Point to surf. The place is to go to rest for two days away from the noise of Arugam Bay. I love the place and the gay work there.

The room was spacious.and the bed was comfortable. Plenty of surfaces to put your belongings. The staff were excellent helping with anything we needed and going out of their way to make sure we had an amazing stay. We met the manager who was a really lovely man and he made sure we got our early bus to Matara by providing a free tuk tuk. The restaurant attached was also fantastic. We ate there many times and everything was absolutely delicious. Arugam Bay is extremely quiet this time of year, but we enjoyed the peacefulness. Thank you to all at Arcadi Villas.

    Amazing location next to a beach. Loved resting in a hammock with an ocean view. Everything is clean and nice. Murali cooks really good. His food was very tasty. Uncle Sella and Murali were very helpful and great hosts. In two months we are coming back!

    The location is 10 min walking from the beach and 20 min from pottovil surfing. Location is quiet, yet close enough to the beach and surfing point. The garden of the property is beautiful with a nice seating area for breakfast and dinner.
