Location is amazing. Like a little private island. Entrance to the resort is like a nice walk in mangrove jungle. It’s really well mantained. We stayed in the ac room and the room was super clean, really comfortable and well decorated. Staff and the owner, ware really helpful and really sweet to us. We can totally recommend to stay here.

Almost everything! The whole family made our stay incredible, felt a bit like being around your own family. -Food is healthy and home cooked every single day, breakfast is amazing. There’s too much option to choose from. Baba, our day to day server, even jumped up to climb trees to get us some fresh coconuts. -Room is immaculate, you won’t find any dust and they clean everyday. It’s a nice feeling coming home from a day trip. We found almost no mosquitoes or insects at all. -Shower, it can be really hot shower above 8 o’clock in the morning, try to take your shower early. We enjoyed our outdoor shower, birds chirping and the river behind the property makes it really sound idyllic. -Location, it’s a bit in the middle of nowhere (which we enjoy), but you can easily access the road and the beach within 10 mins, and they provide tuk tuk (or car) to transfer to the nearest beach which is handy. - Staff! Shout out to Roshana, Baba, and Ishuru to name a few! Amazing people and very good at they do. The family provides recommendations for trips all around the country. They literary took us everyone, which we found super convenient and well priced. Overall, we were super impressed by this little gem!

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with all the essentials I needed—comfortable bed, fresh linens, and good air conditioning. A wonderful place to stay. Calm and serene. Was lots better than the photo’s make it look. Loved waking up in the jungle with the full height glass windows. Really nice pool. The staff were super helpful and attentive and gave us lots of tips including visiting a local turtle sanctuary. Highly recommended.

Nice light new clean accommodation with spacious terrace and private entrance situated in a tranquil neighborhood off the main road. Good bathroom with hot shower. Large bed with an excellent mosquito net. Run by a friendly family doing their absolute best to make you having a great time. The hostess prepares excellent meals on request. If we have had time we surely would have stayed longer.

This was a perfect calming experience. The cottage was comfortable and super clean. And the most valuable was the kindness and hospitability of the family, who host us. All the members of the family were opened to all our questions and were explaining about all plants, that are growing in their lovely garden.The garden is full of Ayurvedic plants and the housekeeper cooked us a delicious dinner using Ayurvedic plants and local ingridients.They offered us free transportation to turtle centre near by and explained about best local tours. We appreciate the whole experience and we were sorry we did not plan another day at this hospitable place.

Tucked away off the main road, this property is a true oasis. The friendliness and the attentiveness of the staff was second to none making every moment at Sama retreats memorable. Local food served was sensational with the chef kindly explaining the origins of each dish. The rooms are peaceful and tranquil, and while all the mod cons are available it does feel like you are stepping into another world. The beach is quiet and on most occasions the only others you will find are the local fisherman that are happy to offer a smile and a chat. We can’t wait to return.

The accommodation is located in a quiet location not far from Bentota and offers everything you need for your stay. Very kind and friendly welcome and hospitality of the host. The room is large, clean and cozy, so you will definitely enjoy your stay here. It has its own bathroom and kitchenette. Everything is clean and nice. A beautiful view of nature and the possibility of observing birds, squirrels, parrots and many other welcome visitors. The breakfast is absolutely divine and it's different every day. The highest praise goes to the host who takes care of you very royally. He is willing, selfless, honest, friendly and will always do his best for his guests to ensure the best and most comfortable stay possible. We thank him very much for a wonderful stay, which we enjoyed very much and we will definitely come back here. An amazing place with an amazing person. We recommend it 100%.
