Jean-Michel, Florida and the whole team are very helpful and kind. For example, we asked Jean-Michel in an email that we would like to stop at a "supermarket" to buy few things during our transfer from the airport to Doany Beach. He said okay. And soon he sent an email that he had noticed we would arrive on Sunday afternoon when shops are closed and offered that he buys what we need if we send a list, Wow. Doany Beach is beautiful with its white sand beach (no trash only shells) , crystal clear ocean in front of you, no dangerous currents, beautiful corals and fish for snorkelling (it is easier to find them in low tide). And there are no other tourists, maybe another family as guests. We could see sunrise even from our bed, we only had to open our front door facing to the ocean at 6 am. Brown (female) and black (male) lemurs are coming each evening or sometimes in the afternoon. We got bananas from the staff to make lemurs eat from our hands and let us stroke them (except their tails). As there are no shops or markets, you eat what you get. But do not worry, meals are perfectly delicious and sufficient and as a bonus, you eat in the garden with ocean view. Weather (sunny, 29-30 C, no rain during the day) and the ocean temperature were great. Doany Beach has filtered drinking water. We had no problems with WiFi. There is hot water in the bathroom. You may ask for how many night you should book. It can easily be one week. Lokobe Reserve is in walking distance, Jean-Michel came with us to show the way. It is worth checking Doany Beach's own website, where you see many boat tours offered (e.g. Lemurialand+Mont Passot+Andilana beach, Tanikely, Sakatia, Komba, Iranja, etc.). There are also many other program possibilities, like fishing, water skiing, face painting. You also see the prices on the website. Boat trip price is usually for the boat and not per person. For our family of five, these prices were unbeatable. Watch our Youtube videos.

Breakfast and all meals were Amazing. Staff were incredible, kind and warm hearted. The attention to detail in the upkeep of the property was amazing. I've rarely found a better managed place. We saw lemurs every day, as well as Chameleons and other animals. They also have a wonderful pool and an incredible garden.

We had a great one night stay at Les bungalows d'Ambonara, quiet location, surrounded by a nice garden, delicious breakfast at the pool, lovely and helpful staff. Can only recommend!

The staff were fantastic, helpful and incredibly friendly. They helped us with any travel issues we had and ensured we were well provided for. The rooms were comfortable with a fan and the view was incredible. It’s right by the national park and the hotel arranged a tour guide for us for a fantastic and fair rate. The breakfast was terrific. The fruit juice was fresh daily. We enjoyed the extra eggs. The nutella crepes were the best. The staff were just very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, and the fans were very helpful in dealing with the heat. The bed nets were of great quality and kept the mosquitoes away. The pool was spotless. The shuttle to and from the airport was very timely and professional. I would highly recommend this quiet beach and this wonderful resort.

I liked everything. The staff were so friendly. The food was good and above all the owner of the hotel JC and his wife were exceptional. I wanted to do some fishing while I was in nosy. Be found a few places but they were expensive. JC found a local guy down the road Very reasonable price so on Christmas Day l went Fishing and I had a fantastic day and I caught my first sailfish, on Christmas Eve JC and his wife spent time with me we had food and champagne, 🍾 he is a very interesting guy.
