Perfect location for us. Very pleasant and helpful staff - most spoke very good English. Lovely food in the restaurant, great bar area and comfy longer sofas. Bike hire was a real bonus.

Hotel Buren is centrally located in West-Terschelling, two blocks behind the high street. But it is, nevertheless, super quiet. Or at least it was in October 2022, when everything on the island itself was relatively quiet. I can't comment on high season. You are in no time in the high street, on the dunes, at the sea.

Upon arriving at Pension de Wadvaarder (through the back gate), you’ll enter into a cozy living room and dinning area. Gerrit & Annemieke have a great sense of style and it shows throughout the property, including the garden. The bedroom was spacious and had a small reading room with books (in Dutch). For breakfast you are provided a checklist of items to choose from which are then freshly assembled for you in the morning. The items are excellent quality, some derived from Terschelling (cheese, cranberry compote, eggs…) - lekker! The pension is close to the village center and bus stop. Hikes on the dike, in the forrest, on the dunes, and beach are easily manageable. Of course you can also bike if you want to move around faster and farther.

super nice chalet, very close to the beach, has a private garden with a great view. accommodation is pristine and very clean. Kitchen fully equipped. We will consider it again to come back.
