Everything was delightful. The house is actually bigger than it seems from the photos. The sun hits the kitchen and warms the whole house pretty much. Feels very nice. The kitchen has everything to cook in, but there are also restaurants nearby and a good supermarket just around the corner. We found the best lamb sausages there... :) The rooms are good size, beds comfortable and shower with great pressure. A lovely place to stay long-term. It is within walking distance from the beach and a short drive from Katiki Point Lighthouse, where you can watch the seals. The internet was great for work. We would love to return and see the birds in the backyard. The hosts were very welcoming and took the time to come over to hand us the keys. Definitely, one of the best places we stayed in NZ.

Property was exactly as advertized. Cozy, clean and with all comfort one would expect. Great kitchen and very close to the town center. The personal contact with the owners was a plus. Recommend the Whitestone to everybody who is looking for a nice and comfortable place to stay while visiting Oamaru (including the penguins returning from sea in the evening).
