The location was great and very friendly staff.

The camp is the perfect place to disconnect and relax after a day exploring the mountains. Both the staff and the food were amazing. I would not hesitate to come back!

The services are limited due to is a camp in the dessert. Anyhow no complains about the ammount of food, water, tea, etc. Excellent experience if you want to be in the dessert, watch and touch camels, feed them, etc. The guide Qusay really loves his job and always try tourists to have an excellent time. Full recommended the 4 hours dessert tour were you can do a lot of activities all in one.

Staying at Authentic Desert Camp was pure magic! The traditional tents were both beautiful and authentic, offering true desert charm and comfort. The meal was a feast—homemade, flavorful, and unforgettable. The silence and serenity of the desert were soul-soothing. We had an unforgettable experience here, like in a fairy tale from the Arabian Nights amidst the breathtaking desert dunes, we experienced genuine, warm hospitality. We checked into a villa that we were told was ours and were looked after by Tushar, who was invisible, very respectful of privacy and yet always there when we needed him. He explained that the owner of the house, Mohammed, had told him that it wasn't about money, the only important thing was that the guests were happy and that they were treated like family. The landlord, Mohammed himself, took us into the desert and treated us to a big dinner in the middle of the dunes, and when a sandstorm came up, Mohammed even conjured up an innovative shelter for us out of flying carpets. On the day of our departure, we were surprised by Mohammed and his children who visited us with presents, we experienced the great hospitality of Oman first hand and felt at home, and now, back home, we miss it very much.

Very nice camp, host was very friendly and made me feel welcome. Had lots of omani coffee, dates, and fruit. Showed me his camels and I got to help feed them. We also went quad biking in the dunes which I thought would be scary but it wasn't. Went above and beyond to give me a good experience, I am celiac and explained that I can't eat gluten and his sister made me a special breakfast. Pickup was easy and straightforward. Beautiful sunrise and sunset watching from the dunes. Best calue for money that i have found in Oman. Highly recommend!

Most authentic camp, most authentic experience and nicest people on earth. They do everything, always making sure you are okay. They Even saved us by dropping us in Muscat because we had no car. The night was great, the tents are very comfortable and its away from the cluster where you have all the other camps so you really feel alone in the desert . Thank you so much

I came across La Duna when searching for a nice place for my Fiancé and me to stay. Out of all the camps I found, La Duna looked the most attractive, but I was initially a bit hesitant as I could not find any reviews about it. Some further research showed me that it was a brand-new camp, which explained the lack of reviews. I contacted them via their IG page and got a super friendly and supportive feedback from Mr. Nasser, the manager or owner of La Duna. Not only did he answer all my questions I had about La Duna, but he also helped me with ideas and suggestions for the other part of our 10 days Oman trip, which was an extremely valuable insight from a local and much more than I could have hoped for. So I decided to book 2 nights at La Duna and when we finally arrived there, our expectations were by far exceeded. It’s an absolutely stunning camp and extremely private, there is just one camp (tent) available for exclusive use in an incredible desert setting. Unlike nearly all the other camps, La Duna has a more modern approach and design, which we preferred over the somewhat awkward traditional camps with their black tents and weird carpets. La Duna is bright and clean and spacious, from inside more like a luxury hotel room than a tent, with a proper cooling AC, hot water and a strong water pressure in the shower. We were prepared for much worse, but at La Duna really everything worked as it should. Mr. Nasser and his team took extremely well care of us and delivered delicious meals to our camp. It cannot get more exclusive and if you are looking for a luxurious desert experience out of the ordinary, then La Duna is the place to go.

A true, authentic desert camp - we loved it! The bedouin family who is running this camp was extremely friendly and welcoming, we felt really like at home with them. The night in the camp was very calm, as it was just us and the sky full of stars. Unforgettable private experience far away from any noise or light pollution. And the food which was served for dinner and breakfast was really delicious and super fresh!! We also had the opportunity to witness and discuss about their daily life in the desert, which was super interesting. We booked also additional activities with the bedouin family - especially driving in the sand dunes (dunesbashing) was fun and their driving skills truly impressed us! We even stopped by their camels and goats on the way, which was another amazing moment of our stay.
