What an indescribable stay at the Uros Utasa Lodge on Lake Titicaca. I can only give this lodge top marks because Raul gave us an unforgettable day. After he picked us up at the pier, we travelled through the reed belt on his boat. Even here he gave us an insight into what the reeds are used for. You could see that Raul is passionate about this area and enjoyed passing on his knowledge. After driving past so many huts, the surprise was all the greater! A paradise for a day! We enjoyed the afternoon on the deckchair and Raul and his wife also prepared dinner on request. Simply recommended!!!

Mama Lea, Papa Mario and their son Ivan are super friendly. The experience of sleeping on a small Uro island is unique and recommendable. Mama Lea is a very good cook! We had great meals. Transfer round trip is offered for 80 soles which is fair since it's around 30 minutes per way.

This was by far one of the best (if not the best) places we have been to. Everything was perfect - location, accommodation, food, service and most of all the hosts! Such a lovely family who made our stay exceptional, giving us a boat tour of the area, telling us the history of the islands and how its all made. We really regret not staying longer as it was such a great experience. We can highly recommend staying here with this wonderful host family, thank you so much for everything!

This was, without a doubt, the best accommodation experience I've had in Peru. The owner of the property is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere in this place is truly family-like, which made my stay even more special. The best experience so far. We organised the transfer to the local port they advised. The car was (thanks to their tip) safely parked and gated. We had the best breakfast in Peru so far. (although on a floating island). It was very cold but nice and warm under the sheets. Our son says a real adventure and the highlight of our tour. If you can book a bigger room with balcony.

Beautiful views. I highly recommend staying here, Isaac and his family are lovely and took care of us. It is impressive what they have been able to create in the middle of the floating village. There was hot water and we were toasty at night as isacc brought us hot water bottles (we didn’t need the heater). Isacc took us on a tour around the islands with his traditional boat and taught us quite a lot about the history and way of life. Do bring a book and there isn’t any wifi although we had cell network. It was a nice way to disconnect and enjoy the views.
