The owners were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The villa was well equipped and spacious. They were very welcoming to our traveling companion, out 14 yo kitty. It was fantastic to walk right out our door, pick oranges and make fresh squeezed orange juice. There are lemon trees on the property as well. Fresh rosemary and lavender. The are is in the country, but close to towns and within 1 hr drive to fantastic historical places and 35 minutes to Tocha beach. There is a fantastic market in Tocha on Sunday. We were so fortunate to find this place. Thank you Dave and Lilli!

We've been travelling a lot and have stayed in many places. Usually, I would not take the time to leave a review for a hotel where we only stayed one night - I don't have the time. However, this hotel stood out positively in almost every aspect (most other places had some really nice aspects, but also some issues) and was really good value.

The house was charming and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and the garden. There was plenty of space for our dogs to run around. The location is in the quiet village within 5 minutes drive to the big supermarkets. We will definitely come back in the future!

Cozy. Comfortable. Convenient. Clean A pool so good for swimming washes away fatigue. Paulo was very kind and friendly and even a dog can be a good friend. Breakfast was prepared with such care and was delicious. Paulo's explanation of the history of how this place came to be makes me feel even more attached to it. The villages offer a trip back to the Middle Ages, and a visit to a third-generation dessert shop is also a delight.

On arrival at this lovely apartment, I immediately recalled the words of the writer Paul Scheerbart: “Glück ohne Glas - wie dumm ist das” i.e. “Happiness without glass - how silly is that.” Before me were three splendidly large windows, two of which revealed the wondrous broodiness of the Atlantic Ocean in all its glory.     We had an amazing time at Casa Agua Mansas, perfect location to discover the region and to relax in the casa with a lot of space, a great swimming pool almost private because of the limited rooms. Hans and Caroline are very kind and helpfull hosts. They really did everything to make you feel at home (and they were successful :-)), breakfast was great and very personal, for every trip Hans had tips, maps, advice for best restaurants, name it...what a service! Stongly recommend!
