Cheap hotels in Ban Sieo

If you don’t have your own set of wheels, trying to explore the Tat Ton Waterfall and Mo Hin Khao (the Stonehenge of Thailand) is a bit of a hit-and-miss affair. Our best option was to make a pitstop in Chaiyaphum and Hop Inn Chaiyaphum seems to fit the bill better than the other choices available. Newly-opened it was clean and much thought had been put into making the room as comfortable as possible for the short-stay guest. The facilities - room, bed, bathroom, cleanliness - are pretty acceptable for the asking price. In the morning guests can help themselves to some complimentary coffee while waiting for their transport. What transport you may well ask. There is no taxi service here! (Luckily we did get a ‘taxi’ to Mo Hin Khao with the help of a fellow passenger). We were told that there is a songthaew terminal right across the road from the hotel but when we went there we couldn’t detect any sign of activity. However the helpful lady receptionist had taken the trouble to cross over as well. Eventually she managed to hail a songthaew to take us to the bus terminal to catch a bus to Korat. She was the sole bright spot of our stay in Chaiyaphum! Other than her we did not meet a single soul who could understand, let alone speak English. This is a non-touristy town and trying to get some semblance of dinner was a major undertaking. And the hotel is within walking distance of the town!

Clean big room with aircon in city center of Chaiyaphum city. Basic amenities available. Has a daily room cleaning. Hotel provide every day 2 bottle of water for free. Location is good - not far from market, bus station and opposite 7/11 shop. Have local taxi around. Near hotel have parking.

Very clean and spacious room. Excellent bathroom.

The Hotel is new and clean,the room size and especially the staff was fantastic.Great location to local shops and great for exploring (recommend Tat Ton Waterfall)

A very basic room, noticeably worse than the ones I had for this money before on this trip. The staff is friendly.

Great stay in chaiyhaphum. Lovely rooms which were very spacious. The staff were also very friendly and welcoming.

We had a wonderful stay here! Thierry, the owner, was so kind and helpful. He noticed the foods we liked at breakfast and gave us more of them and he was incredibly helpful when trying to organise transport and providing tips on the area. He took the time to chat with us and get to know us. The room was spacious and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The pool was lovely and there were two sweet dogs as well. Will absolutely stay again.
