A beautiful, calm oasis in the craziness that is Arusha. Very relaxing and a great place prepare for a trip or recover from one! Cecile, Marley and Isaya are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. Getting picked up from the airport by Marley made getting there a breeze, and it was a great way to be introduced to the city. The house and garden are very tidy and nicely set up. Love all the decors inside, especially Cecile’s basket collection! Lots of great spaces inside and out to relax and chill. We really enjoyed sitting around the fire at night chatting. And Cecile’s meals —Dutch-Tanzanian ‘fusion’ — were amazing. It’s also a great location for getting to and from safari rentals, shops and local markets. Everything is a short tuk tuk ride away! Highly recommended.

The property is very nice with a beautiful tropical garden. Our room was large with all facilities, the bed was also large in particular the cover bed highly appreciated when the nights are chilly. The bed sheets and the towels were of an immaculate white colour. Everything was really clean. The breakfast was very fresh, tasty and complete. We also loved the dinner, which was cooked and prepared like at home. A highlight of this hotel is also the staff. Everybody was very friendly and we appreciated how much the owner listens to his staff suggestions. The owner who also speaks French, organized a city tour for us, we were very grateful for this as we could visit the Cultural Heritage Centre, the Shanga Workshop, the Natural History museum and a local market with a private way.

We (my family and me) recently had the pleasure to stay at Savannah House in Arusha, and it was truly a wonderful experience for 4 nights. Initially, we had booked only one night but we loved it from the first sight and we booked 3 more nights. We loved the decor and layout, really well designed. From the moment of our arriving, the host Tony and his staff greeted us with fresh watermelon juice, they were so welcoming and warm. One of the aspects that impressed us was the emphasis on safety – from the secure entrance to the well-lit common areas (with electric fence) and night security. We felt at ease throughout our stay - the modern and perfectly clean room exceeded our expectations, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment, the beautiful garden with relaxing spaces. Breakfast was exceptional, rich and absolute delight. Tony`s sister culinary skills shone through as she prepared a delicious, healthy and hearty breakfast that left us energized for the day ahead. It is possible to order pizzas, to buy bottle of water and local beer in the hotel. It was a perfect option for us after safari tour or after our daily activities (hiking Kilimanjaro, Hotsprings, Greencoffee tour and Materuni waterfall), so it was not necessary to leave the property. We went out for a dinner in the last evening of our stay in Arusha and visited a good modern private area of restaurant, bar and discotheque to taste nyama choma (local food). It is too close to Savannah House. After safari we asked for Laundry Service and Tony`s sister organized everything for us (for normal price). The staff attention to providing a comfortable environment was evident in every aspect of the guesthouse. That truly made the difference in our stay - really felt like at a home, eternally grateful for their kindness and generosity. Our children adored our stay at Savannah House and we were happy too.
