Staff were incredibly warm and helpful and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon special. We were surprised they had decorated the room and even left some beautiful (full size) skin care products as a gift. The room decor is also very thoughtful and functional. The hotel design is lovely too. You feel like you’re in the centre of the action too so its a great place to explore Stonetown.

The house is located about 15-20 mins walk from the center of the city and the nearby beach is just 5 mins walk. The neighborhood was really friendly, starting from kids who warmly welcomed us and showed us the way to the beach, and ending with very kind owners of the small shops in the street where you can buy all necessary essential things. The house itself was much better then we expected. Spotlessly clean with three big double bedrooms, three bathrooms, kitchen, dining room and dayroom. There is a washing machine and iron, which was very helpful! Each room is with a/c and a fan. Good wifi and hot water. And all the house is protected with mosquito nets. The owner of the house was responsive and efficient, and fulfilled all our requests.

What an absolute gorgeous gem of a hotel in Stone Town. Truly authentic building and decor and incredible bedrooms. I stayed in the ‘Kate’ room which was utterly delightful. Beautiful private terrace overlooking the town, enormous bedroom (beautifully decorated) and an open-air bathtub adjoining. Super private. Gorgeous to wake up in the morning and open the doors and feel the breeze filter through. Beautiful bed linen and towels (woven locally) and handmade soaps. If you are into aesthetics, then this is the place for you. I can’t say enough to rate the hotel. All the staff were absolutely delightful and super attentive (as a single female traveller it was very much appreciated). The Manager was extremely kind and friendly. Also organised a fantastic private tour of the town for me which was brilliant. The rooftop restaurant is to die for. The best, authentic and freshest of food I have ever eaten.The taster plate experience with sunset and cocktails was dreamy. Amazing views and ambiance. Didn’t want it to end! The Secret Garden restaurant is also absolutely worth a visit. I attended on a Friday evening when there was live music being performed. Truly magical. Again, the food was just amazing and the staff all super kind.

I could say many things about this amazing property, starting with the beautiful rooms and the constant assistance by its super kind staff but to be honest I was particularly impressed by the location that is a real wonder of nature: this place is a paradise. I was upgraded in a Suite and I could enjoy one of the best sunset I can remember in recent times, not to mention the pristine beach. One special mention to the chef who assisted us personally and prepared some unforgettable Italian "spaghetti ai frutti di mare"!

The most spectacular place I have stayed at during my visit to Zanzibar. Did not realise the room did not have it's private bathroom upon booking, but that was not a problem at all, since this hotel is so convenient, clean and well kept. Local soap bars that were gifted to us was such a pleasant surprise, as well as delicious welcome drinks, incredible breakfast. Could not recommend this place enough, how pleased we were with everything.

    A very pleasant hotel, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good with a good variety of foods. It's location near to the harbour and a 2 minute walk int the busy streets of stone town make it ideal.

    The location was great. Easily within walking distance of Stone Town. Customer service was excellent. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Shoutout to my favourite member of the housekeeping team Maua who kept our room spotless and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was a little disappointing, there wasn't much variety but the fresh fruit made up for it 😊. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it, especially if you're on a budget
