    We stayed in the Ecola Creek Lodge for 2 nights. It was in a good location for the town, probably a 10 minute walk to the start of the restaurants and shops etc. Haystack Rock was about a 30 minute walk down through the town. Plenty of parking outside the front of the Lodge.

    Super friendly staff, location on the edge of town but still walking distance to all shops and restaurants. Close to 101 and Ecola state park. Guest laundry was handy.

    We stayed in the Thunderbird Motel, which is just a short walk from Cannon Beach. What more could one want? A small refrigerator in the room, maybe? Some of the rooms have fabulous views. Ours did not and hence it was a little cheaper...but still not inexpensive. If you have the cash, buy the view. Still, the hotel is a very short walk from the beach and not far from Haystack. Again, what more could you want? Spectacular beach and down the way, a nice town with some good restaurants.

    Excellent location, right on the beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clean. Loved the pool. Lots of parking spots.
