The location was ideal for Chinese town and not too far to get taxi to pier for Alcatraz so was quite cheap. You can walk but it was very early when we left and had to be there at 8am. Excellent location...easy walk to Fishermans Wharf and Peir 39 and close to restaurants and bars on Columbus. Good public transport links. Hotel itself is old and the room we were in was small, but it was clean and comfortable. The shared amenities were spotlessly clean with plenty of liquid soap,shampoo, etc. The Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
