This hotel is excellent. Actually we plant the stay of one-night just as stopover but it was the unexpected highlicht of our vacation trip. We enjoyed our stay in the house and the surrounding area. An additional attraction were very friendly animals: goats, ponies and dogs with whom we spent the morning over coffee. The house is well equipped and spacious. We would like to stay there longer when visiting this area next time.

I stayed at the Sunglow some years ago but the new owners have done a lot of work to update all the rooms and they are much more pleasant and modern. The new owner was exceptionally helpful and kind when I had a small car problem for which I am very grateful. Other staff were genuinely friendly and I enjoyed my stay. The cafe has good food (great local pies) and is a good option in Bicknell.
