He responds very promptly when messaging or calling during daytime hours. The free breakfast is delicious and filling and Renato cooks it once he has settled you in with a tea or coffee. The room is clean, has heating and hot water that does not run out fast in the winter. There is a beautiful garden where you can relax or smoke. The cat is so nice too!

Packed us breakfast for day trips, laundry, and booking assistance. Breakfast was big and delicious. I cannot over emphasise the level of service we received, something I haven’t even gotten in five star hotels. If I come to Shkodra again, I would book without hesitation.

We felt so lucky to discover Mathilda and Aryan’s place on the river near Lake Koman. We originally stopped for just one night before taking the ferry, but easily could have stayed several more. The setting is beautiful, with great hiking trails and a working farm where we enjoyed grapes and fresh produce right from the garden. The pool was perfect for an afternoon dip, and Mathilda and Aryan were such warm and generous hosts. Dinner with them is a must, the food and company made the experience unforgettable. The road getting there was a bit rough, but we just took it slow in our rental car and were fine and it looks like it should be finished in a few months. We’d love to come back and spend more time hiking, especially up to the fortress on the hill behind their house
