Great hotel, lovely spa, and perfect location (5min or less walk to science center and old town) in Tartu. Pitch perfect for a break with young kids. The thing that I liked the most of this place is the thoughtfulness about families. The child potty and step available in the room bathroom for my daugher was a wonderful touch, the spa-pool area really is well thought out for kids and families (and giving mommy and daddy a break too), and the staff have a genuinely human touch without any pretension or arrogance -- so very helpful with everything.

Tampere Maja is listed as a cultural monument by the National Heritage Board, and offers a unique design of rooms, with benefits of modern facilities. There is free Wi-Fi in all the rooms. Such a cozy guesthouse! The location is perfect, the room is clean and well maintained, and the breakfast is simple yet satisfying. The water server in the hallway was an additional plus for me. The reception closes at 6PM but they allow for late check-in and it worked smoothly for me.

The property is non-smoking and is located 500 metres from Tartu Art Museum. Very clear directions on getting into the parking area and into the apartment. The apartment was very newly remodeled with very good furnishings. The location right next to the botanical garden and the river was excellent, and just a short walk into the city center.
