Situated in Matacawalevu, Ravita Cove HomeAway from Home HomeStay offers accommodation with access to a public bath. Set on the beachfront, this property has a private beach area, an open-air bath and a garden. The homestay features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Our stay at this guesthouse in Matacawalevu Island was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine hospitality that made us feel like part of the family. The food was absolutely amazing, every meal was delicious and traditional. Our room was so huge and beautifully maintained, it felt like the perfect holiday we were dreaming about. The guesthouse is perfectly located close to the beach, where we enjoyed kayaking around. One of the best things of our stay was visiting the nearby Sawa-i-Lau caves, an easy trip from the guesthouse, and taking part in local life through a village and church visit (the experience felt really authentic). This wasn’t just a stay, it was a real Fijian experience. We're so grateful to the wonderful family who hosted us and made everything so special. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true experience away from everything.

What a wonderful and memorable stay in a traditional Fijian village. We liked it so much that we ended up staying in Soso village for a month. Silo, Bill, Va, Rob, Simi, Luisa and Iki, we will never forget the great time we had with you. You took good care of us, prepared extra food for the children and helped us when they got sick. As for the village. The people are very friendly, with a lot of children, so our kids made friends instantly. The beach in front of the village is beautiful, with a nice healthy reef to snorkel and there are some nice hikes with spectacular views over all of the Tasawas. As there is no light pollution, stargazing is breathtaking and the manta ray passage is just around the corner. The accommodation is very basic with a bucket shower and no-flush-toilet, but the beds are comfortable and the food is great. Note that the water available is rain water, so if you want to go safe, bring your own bottled water (or aqua-tabs) from the mainland because there are no real shops on the island. Also, you should wear a Sulu (Sarong) around the village and in church, men too. And it’s expected that you bring a kava root (worth 20 FJ$) and/or some money to present to the chief of the village when you arrive.

Location was stunning!
A must visit in Fiji! The staff are incredibly friendly, it feels like home. The location is ideal, lots of activities and the food is amazing.
the location and hammocks everywhere, the activities were very cheap, traditional food
The location was absolutely stunning. Great beach with nice calm waters, ideal for swimming and amazing snorkeling just off the shore. Due to the exceptional visibility we saw plenty of fish, a few turtles and a very healthy coral reef. The staff was really welcoming and friendly, they made us feel part of a little family, which we loved. On the last day just before leaving they sung for us a moving farewell song that we extremely appreciated. There are plenty of activities during the day that will keep you entertained.
Location is amazing. Beautiful snorkelling right on your finger tips - no need to wait for a boat trip to a reef. There is a mix of rooms for different budgets which means a really nice mix of people stay here. On site spa and yoga sessions were lovely.
The bure I was stayed in was fantastic, very clean and only maybe 40 metres from the beach. Staff were very friendly, food was delicious and authentic, and the activities offered were great. Plus it is in a beautiful location!!
Staff were welcoming and helpful, the food was fresh and delicious and our dietary requirements/allergies were catered for. The rooms were beautiful, spacious and very clean. The location is stunning and we loved that the lodge is only small, giving it a more authentic and peacful feeling unlike some of the other bigger resorts in the Yasawas. Absolutely worth the long ferry trip to get there and we hope to come back someday!
