We were surprised at how different the climate is from Tbilisi; at least 10°C colder in mid-September than Tbilisi! The kitchen is fully equipped, bathroom and shower are nice, and the garden is beautiful. We were really happy with our stay, and this would definitely be a perfect base for a long weekend. We only stayed one night as this was our last day in Georgia before flying out of Tbilisi, but a 3 night stay here would definitely be great (if you have your own car, anyway). Tsalka is a small town, but there's plenty of dining options, groceries, etc., all the essentials and there's plenty to do within an hour drive. The hostess and her family live next door. I think her name is Gia? I am not sure who Tasia is, but I don't think it's the hostess! But maybe I am wrong; we do not speak Georgian and she does not speak English, so communicating by text message was better. This really is a standout place, one of our favorite in Georgia - not because there's much to do in Tsalka, but because of what a lovely surprise it was to find such a nice, well-designed A-frame cottage in this little town. The decorations and little touches are really well thought out, literally the only thing missing I could possibly think of would be a better comforter/blanket for the bed.
