It's Japanese style hotel with very nice Onsen. This is my first experience that we have to removes our shoes when we enter the hotel.The hotel location quit near with Sendai train station and city center where we were very easy to looking for meal and shopping

It was a very enjoyable experience. Please do mind that most activity plays at the other part of Matsushima, which is about half an hour walking.

It was absolutely exceptional, from the food, to the staff, to the service and hot springs, everything was simply immaculate. You cannot get any better than this.

We liked especially the nice driver who picked us up from the station an even run after me when I forget my phone at the reception. Cheers to him! :) The room was perfect, we slept on tatami mats. And so was the japanese breakfast. We highly recommend! The private bath is gorgeous, but also the public Onsen within the hotel. You get a nice kimono in your room to were within the house. The nice welcome with matcha tea and the drink buffet during the afternoon is a very nice service. We learned the hard way that one have to reserve dinner well in advance. You cannot have it spontaneously. But we got very nice help by the receptionist as he called a restaurant where we rushed by taxi to be in time for the last order. It was a great stay!

It's very near a station, so it has good links into Sendai and beyond if you don't have a car. If you have a car, there is free parking about 5 minutes walk away from the property. It's a 25 minute or so drive to Matsushima Bay, which is well worth a visit (go to Oshima Island, it's magical) and an hour and a bit to Risshaku-Ji which is otherworldly. We only had time to do that, but there's plenty more you could do, and if you're visiting Sendai, give yourself more than the 2 full days we gave ourselves.
