It was close to the fort which we were able to walk to easily from the small hotel, and also a 5-10 minute walk to the train station. The hotel has a very relaxing atmosphere. Our room had a large bed excellent air conditioning and a large attached bathroom. There was a large balcony area, which was excellent for viewing the neighbourhood and also for hanging our washed laundry. The breakfasts are truly gourmet. On our final day we had an early start as we had a 7:15 AM train to catch to Colombo. We were very appreciative of the staff arranging for an early breakfast before our departure. Overall our stay was the first class experience.
