The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The hotel is located right at the lagoon with a beautiful yard and very nice chill out areas. We also enjoyed the food (vegetarian options!) of the restaurant. The breakfast selection is very good and you get more options than only Gallo pinto like in most of the hotels. The staff is very friendly and we had a great time chatting with the swiss owner. The massage was very good and you can use kayaks and tubes for free.

Very individual design and even with the busy hotel activity in the neighborhood Casa Bella is really calm. The high rise beds are very comfortable, with very intelligent solution for light switches and fans… very well working aircon. Kitchen equipped with basic ingredients, fridge with eggs and some drinks… we didnt use it, but it was nice to have the option. Dogs were not only welcome, they had a water bowl prepared in the common area. A small welcome board on the door was a very sweet plus to feel at home. Great to have the option to use restaurant service of Casa Marimba.

Built into the crater wall that encircles the lake, this little resort functions on various levels, literally. Pleasant landscaping from the road down to the beautiful water. The restaurant food is 'tan rica' even if the tasty cocktails 'no son muy fuertes'. The fish and the shrimp are great as is the 'desayuno incluido'. I loved hearing the Howler Monkeys up on the mountainside from late in the afternoon until after sunrise. Good birding out on the main road, too.

It was a bit of a splurge for our budget but so worth it!! Such a chill time in an amazing spot! Tasty food and sweet staff. Stay hear and experience what this lake has to offer!!!! The water is warm and perfect for a swim. You have free use of all the water vessels throughout the day. We watched howler monkeys eat their breakfast as the sun rose the next morning. So many beautiful birds. A variety of food. Across the parking lot is a little shop to get some snacks/ veggies/eggs if you want to use the kitchen. Many different hang out spots to set up at for the day. Don’t miss out on this magical place on your travels!
