From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality. The host treated us like family, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The garden was absolutely stunning—full of vibrant flowers and the perfect place to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable—ideal for two friends traveling together. What made our experience truly special was the host’s personal touch. He not only arranged our tour car and helped us plan our itinerary, but also took the time to share the rich culture, history, and daily life of the Skardu region. It gave our trip a deeper meaning and left us with lasting memories. Overall, Taj Residence offers excellent value for money, but even more importantly, it offers a heartfelt connection to the place and its people. Highly recommended!

Skardu Airport is 4 km from the property. There are dramatic mountain views from the room and the terrace. The staff is kind and helpful and the beds are comfortable. Hot water is also available (check with the staff for the timing). The road leading up to the property is essentially a desert-road, with the local driver though, it wouldn't be a problem to reach it. It's worth staying here.

Very quiet, not close to the centre but there are taxis not far. Lunch and dinner available upon request, and you can have them in a nice terrace with a beautiful view on the mountains. Most of all, the kind assistance of the owner in any situation. For example he has provided personally the transport from/to the airport and help for changing money. We could also leave here a bag with some unuseful stuff while we were hiking on the mountains.

But it was friendly and smiling Naqeeb who made my stay so comfortable. He was always there to help, arranging transportation, making sure I have hot water for the shower and providing boiling water for my evening ginger tea. He even gave me a ride to the bus station. It was a wonderful stay in a homely atmosphere, full of Pakistani hospitality.

I came to Gilgit Baltistan without much of a plan and the owner Badar helped me to plan my trip and we even went on a roadtrip together where I got to experience the true pakistani culture! It was amazing and I am so thankful for the entire experience! The rooms were nice and big, beautifully decorated, and you had an AC which was very necessary at times. All in all, you have everything you need in the room with an exceptional service and good food. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to the Gilgit-Baltistan region.

Ali who works there is a great day-guide and shows you all the important stuff in Hunza Valley. We loved the comfy chairs on our balcony and they also offer a good range of meals. The breakfast was very good and all the staff is very eager to make your stay comfortable.
