Out of the Blue has a perfect location so you can easily reach every point of the island. It's far away from the noise and only 3 minutes walk from downtown. Out of the Blue is a perfect combination the social vibe of a hostel and the aesthetics of a boutique hotel. As we really enjoyed our previous stay here, we decided to book this again for out last night in the Azores. During our stay, we have been to various hostels in Ponta Delgada and this one is by far our favourite! The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast is great (they even provide an early bird breakfast for early checkouts), the kitchen has all facilities you could wish for, the private rooms have a cool design (some of them with original elements of lava stone) and are quiet, there is a lovely garden with hammocks and a small pool, there is an adorable cat, and don’t forget to me tion the great restaurant next door Taberna na Boavista which is open to guests until 0.00 (recommended for great local tapas food). We look forward to visiting this excellent accomodation in the future!

The location of the hotel is central. The breakfast is excellent and varied. In the evening you can sit in the lobby and listen to a different player play the piano, saxophone or guitar every day. For a hotel parking that costs 12 euros per day, they will let you park on a nearby street at a cost of half a euro per hour, this is better because most of the day you travel the island by car.

Amazing and welcoming staff who offered complimentary welcome drinks, upgraded our room to a room with a private courtyard, allowed late check out and it offered an honesty bar. Miguel was wonderful! Comfortable bed. Actual walk up rate can be $500 a night in high season. More than a place to sleep - a cool welcoming experience.
