We arrived very late but the staff came out to greet us and got us parked up. They offered us a complimentary cognac and showed us to our room. The whole place was built by the owner and used a lot of natural wood as furniture. The breakfast was a traditional Romanian one (others were on offer) and was all home made. The hotelier was extremely helpful and spoke good English. If you want a corporate experience, this isn’t the hotel for you but as a genuine example of Romanian hospitality at a good price, you won’t do any better.

I absolutely recommend the castle, I rate it as one of the most beautiful if not the most beautiful and interesting I have ever seen. Definitely not to be missed. Fully equipped kitchen and dining area although I did not need it for my short stay and I ended up only using one glass to drink tea in the morning before leaving. Two big terraces. Good quality bedding, matress was very comfy. Plenty of towels, lots of charging plugs Big wardrobe, tv in the room and a huge one in the dining area. Absolutely no street noise. Easy checkin/checkout process. Good communication with the host Bathroom comes with a shower: good pressure and hot water. Some water will unavoidably splash on the bathroom's floor as it is a doorles shower with a semi frameless shower door. Shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer are all available. Lots of charging plugs. Air conditioning was there even though it was not needed at this time of the year.
