Walter is a very concerned person and since we informed him about our arrival time, he was attentive, unfortunately the bus company we chose to travel from Kampala to Kabale was not the best and we were left stranded in the middle of the road and he took care to offer us a solution, even when it was late and it was not his responsibility, details like this are what make the difference between a place that only seeks to make money and one that really cares about their guests. Regarding the studio, it was well located, had everything we needed, as well as good insulation against external noise and good curtains that kept the room dark, guaranteeing a good rest. We will definitely come back!

Such a lovely guest house very clean the bed was very comfortable and the views from outside your room are outstanding. Cylia the owner is an incredible lady so kind and very helpful and was always on hand to assist you. She was able to get me a gorilla permit and a chimpanzee permit which I was most grateful for.

Lake Bunyonyi and the islands are gorgeous to begin with. Seeds of Hope had very decent and good quality amenities: comfy beds, proper mosquitoe net (in Africa you will find out that not every mosquitoe net provided is functional, some of them won't cover the whole bed...etc. that wasn't the case), hot water. Yes, there were specific hours when they provided hot water and internet but that was understandable given the fact that you are really in a remote place. Overall the staff was a bit too serious (I was wondering if they were happy to live/work there) but cordial. The island is lovely to explore. Make sure you go up and visit the tiny school. The teacher lady there does an amazing job and you can even get to spend time with the kids. The views are gorgeous. We did the Batwa pygmy people tour which was nice (especially the sailing part) but a bit overrated. Instead stay here 2 nights min to relax, unwind, read and recover in between tiring periods of your trip. Totally worth it.

The first highlight is the ride to the boat pier and the boat ride to the island through Lake Bunyonyi. The welcome by the staff is warm and honest. The property is fully self-sustaining, so if you're not a fan of outdoor latrines, be prepared ;) Hot showers are available but need about an hour preparation time. The staff really goes out of their way to accommodate all your wishes and make you feel right at home. I recommend staying in their geo domes as it is an experience you will never forget. The menu at their "canteen" is a dream for vegetarians. Just the perfect place to relax and switch off for a few days. They organize tours to other islands as well, which I didn't try as I just wanted to relax for a few days before heading to the hustling streets of Kampala. They also organized a gorilla track for me in Bwindi at very short notice, which they made into the perfect day and memorable experience. Thanks again for everything 🙏

Wycliffˋs Eco Resort is a recently renovated villa in Kabale, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar. The property has sea and mountain views. There is a restaurant serving African cuisine, and free private parking is available. One of the most beautiful place in Uganda! The room was clean a the view from terrace is amazing. Wycliffe can arrange transport from the city or some activities. The food is also very good and all staff are very nice. Highly recommend place to visit, offering peaceful retreat.
