Located around 49 km from Bennington College, the motel with free WiFi is also 49 km away from Bennington Museum. The property is non-smoking and is located 12 km from Mount Equinox. The location was incredible and very peaceful. The receptionist was very helpful. On our last day, our 2.5 year-old kid broke a lamp. We brought the lamp to him asking for how much did we have to pay, and he acknowledged that it was an accident and there was nothing to worry about. This is one of those things that makes you return to a hotel.

The inn has a terrace and views of the mountains, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. Fantastic inn with some of the best and most guest friendly hosts we have met on our many trips. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. My physical limitation was no issue and I was given a parking spot around the corner of our room. The room was beautiful, with fire place and comfi bed. Highly recommended.

Free Wi-Fi access is available. convenient self check-in, drive up to door of room motel style, comfortable rooms, although there are motel rooms we booked the multi room apartment with 2 floors, huge excellently equipped, newly finished kitchen, twin sub Z, icemaker/cold water dispenser in room, 2 comfortable living room areas, automatic reclining sofa, two large TVs in downstairs rooms, own semi-private outdooor/garden area! Fire pit outside the front lawn to mingle with other guests.

Consequently, I like old-fashioned standards. What I received at the Catamount Motel was a good old-fashioned friendly, courteous welcome, which is important after a long drive, as it makes you feel like you have come home…along with a clean, cozy room. I am writing this from another motel that, sadly, does not measure up to my experience at the Catamount. I highly recommend the Catamount. May I suggest to remember a tip for the housekeeping staff, as they work very hard. You can adjust the temperature of the room, which is very important in Bennington, VT, which can get down in the 20s or less in the winter. As for the showers, the water is hot and pressure fine. By the way, my favorite room is #17. Ask for it, if you can. In short, I found the Catamount to have found a way to maintain the standards of the past while providing great service at a profoundly reasonable price…(did I mention to remember to tip the housekeeping staff?!). Lastly, I want to mention that there is a Citco Gas Station next to the motel, so that you can easily fill up and get back on your trip.
