Guests at Baumzelt am Waldesrand can enjoy skiing and cycling nearby, or make the most of the garden. One-of-a-kind experience! Not just because of the night in the floating tent under the treetops and stars (we were lucky enough to have clear skies), but also the hospitality of the host and authenticity of the location. With the bedding provided it was more than warm enough in the tent for us and it was assuring to know there was a room available as backup (if it rains, is too cold, ...). The breakfast is like the pension & location: authentic, local, charming and very enjoyable.

The owners could only speak some English (our language) but were warm and welcoming, nonetheless. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean with a lovely view and windows to open for fresh air. Great atmosphere in historic building. We stopped 2 nights on our way south from Eschwege on our return journey to Munich. Very scenic drive with views of mountains, lakes, cliffs, waterfalls. The inhouse restaurant has excellent Greek food which was actually a nice change during our road trip of Germany. We did not breakfast there so cannot comment. Close proximity to local natural and built beauty. A short walk to the Bing Cave (a must see) and the Pavillion for a fantastic view of the valley. You need to be fairly nimble to make the walk up to the Pavillion, but it is worth it if you can. Beautiful local walks, streams, bridges and quaint buildings. 10 min drive to a slightly larger town with choice of shops, bakeries and supermarkets. Streitburg has its own distillery. Visitors can do a tour of the distillery or purchase their goods at the supermarkets. Stayed 2 nights. Excellent value accommodation and would recommend.

Professionally established and maintained campsite. The staffs were friendly, quite resourceful and responsive. The tents were setup great and directions were abundant to get back even when drunk from Oktoberfest. The camp site was shared by two other operators. On-site beer servings and after party party was added advantage. Was provided with cozy sleeping bags and tent was good enough for one person. The shower facility was amazing with hot water.

Room had a great view from the verandah.
The room was simply alright. Acceptable for a shorter stay. It had most of the contents you'd need, however I did expect more, or at least better for the price I paid. I have to say the photos made it seem way nicer than reality.
The view was incredible, we had a west facing room right beside the big wheel. The sunset view from our room was jaw dropping. The gym sauna and pool area were good quality. The staff were very professional. The location was convenient for us as it was calm and quiet but right beside the train station, with a nice food area beside the hotel. The adjacent building has a roof top garden with sheep and chickens roaming about which was very pleasant to look at.
sunrise & sunset on spacious first floor balcony watching spectacular mountain view of Zugspitz peak, with full size dining table and sun loungers on balcony too, mountain railway station 10 mins walk, well organised check-in and parking, attractive chalet style building in good area
The breakfast has a lot of choices for vegetarians! One of the best breakfast buffet I ever had, so impressed! The room is very comfortable and had a sunset view, perfect and convenient location for any Ludwig II fans who love to go to Herrenchiemsee. The staff are so friendly too, definitely want to come again!
Location next to a main train station is very convenient as you can easily get anywhere in Munich, to the airport or another city. As usually around train stations it's a bit dodgy after sunset but it's rather safe. Hostel and room itself offer everything what's needed. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable.
The room was very large and nicely appointed. Our large balcony overlooked the walking trail on the west side, where we could watch the sunset. The dining room provided excellent quality dinners and the breakfast buffet had a large variety of foods and drinks. We did not have a chance to take advantage of the spa facilities but a walk-through made us wish we had. The hotel is easy to access from a main road. Very quiet stream-side setting. The staff spoke excellent English and were very accommodating about making local appointments for us.
Very sweet apartment - everything was prepared, you could feel the extra mile there. We went out for a walk in the evening, locals drink wine on the bridge during sunset - recommend 👌 Beautiful inner yard.
The restaurant main course was very good, but the desert was melted icecream and a couple of strawberries sliced up. A poor finish to an otherwise nice meal. The restaurant staff were good though run off their feet.
