We picked him up and drove out to his camp not knowing what to expect. We were remote, away from the tours, with waves of golden sand at our feet. After tea, Beth and I walked the dunes to watch a lovely sunset. After a delicious tagine, we were surprised with a full moon rising and a sky of stars. The quiet was deafening, then broken with Berber rhythms from Larbi, his brother Nayim and friend Bryham. We danced by the fire and then shared life stories. We now have a new desert family.

At Majorelle Desert Camp, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and specialises in African cuisine. The best food so far, despite being in the desert. Amazing people who are flexible and chill. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Also a real sand desert

Hassan and Ikhlef were simply phenomenal. From the moment we arrived, they took fantastic care of us—and trust me, that’s really saying something since we visited the desert in July when it’s extremely hot. The food was top-notch, all thanks to Hassan’s excellent cooking skills. They kept the bedding immaculate and even set up an outdoor bed for us every evening. Sleeping under the stars was a magical experience I'll always remember. The sand dunes are 20 meters from the camp, ideal for a morning walk, some meditation, yoga, or just to sit back and watch camels slowly passing by on the horizon. Access to the camp was straightforward, even in a Kia Picanto. The toilet facilities were spotless, and they were always ready to help with anything we needed.

We were picked up as agreed and the drive to the camp was impressive. The bumpy ride through the impressive landscape with the smell of wild rocket. And then the music from the radio, it still echoes ... :) The camp is located between the dunes. The food was tasty and plentiful, and the hospitality was warm. our hosts Mohamed and Ali told us impressive and exciting stories about life on the edge of the desert in the past and today. Next time we will stay longer than two nights…

Guests at the luxury tent can make the most of yoga classes offered in-house. We enjoyed our stay at Nomads Heaven Camp very much. Moloud is a very experienced host and guide, very proficient in different languages. Very friendly! Food was good and typical moroccon dishes for breakfast and dinner. Everything was reasonably priced. It was very quiet, approximately 6 km from Mhamid. You live in tent-like clay buildings. It was rather warm inside during the night. So we did not need warmer clothes inside. You can walk 200-300 m and you enter an area with smaller dunes with super fine sand. We just sat there and enjoyed a sunset and sunrise there. So it is "desert experience light". Be aware that the real desert with the big 100m high dunes is 60 km/ 2h away. Moloud could have organized a tour by 4x4 and/or camel. But that would have taken us more time, also one person had health issues. So ideally you spend 2-3 days. And stay in the "real" desert overnight.

So many stars! great rooms and delicious food! the staff is super friendly and helpful! they can organize everything for you from pick up from the airport to short or long excursions to live and explore the amazing desert by dromedars or 4X4. 100% recomendable!

If you would like to discover the area, hiking is possible in the surroundings and the accommodation can arrange a car rental service. Mubarak was an amazing host. He wanted for us to take us to the camping the middle of the dunes, and hosted a wonderful Berber dinner, and fire party for us. We are grateful to him and his crew. The place is beautiful. A true desert experience. We look forward to coming back.

A true desert immersion. We had a transfer from Mahamid. Our driver and also our guide spoke great English and provided an amazing experience, showing us the Nomad villages on the way. The food (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast) was one of the best we had during our 10 days in Morocco. The camp definitely exceeded our expectations, was right next to the big dunes, was super comfortable and clean, with our tent having a private bathroom with a shower and hot water. We took a camel ride to the big sand dunes and sand boarded down them. Cannot recommend enough! An absolute must when you’re in Morocco!
