A great place, with a very good location in the centre of Dahab, being tucked between the two main streets and with a direct access to the sea which is only a few meters far! The ammenities are good, with space to cook and relax in the middle of the 'camp'. The staff is very nice and helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed. Dahab and the Dolphin Camp were a very nice suprise! i could only stay for a short time, but I wish I could have stayed longer!

Makany Makanak Camp is located in the heart of National Park Abu Galloum. The place is a sanctuary where all elements co-exist in balance and the very essence of life is lived. A brotherhood of men, living from their heart form the home basis of a (global) community with brothers and sisters from surrounding camps and from all over the world. I did not know what to expect when booking my journey in this place. What I found was home, family, community, unconditional love and caretaking, protection, safety and a free flow of divine inspiration and creative expression. Healthy nourishing foods are slow cooked throughout the day with so much loving energy and fresh local products. Everyone who comes here is invited to step into a process of co-living an co-creating. Eating together and gathering around the campfire at night making music and singing. It’s a place to connect with deep (inner) silence and peace. For healing and being. It does not get any more real than this. This place is for people that can appreciate and embrace the real luxuries and natural gifts of life. For people that can treat this place of harmony with the respect it deserves and who have the ability and intention to adapt to the rhythm of natural living, this is paradise. It’s not a 5-star resort as you find in other places. This place offers a 5-dimensional experience of co-creation focussed on free flow and now-living. Flowing with abundance by living simple. As a single traveling woman, I have felt immensely safe residing in the loving home and care of Mostafa, Osama, Abu Ali and others around. This enabled me to dive deep into myself and found fundamental answers to existential life questions and deep healing. I’ve learned so much from their embodied wisdom of authentic living in balance with all aspects of life, healthy boundaries and sharing unconditionally within community. Insanely beautiful place, friendly and very cool staff, amazing vibes and exceptional host. I've traveled quite a lot, and been to many places but none have exceeded my expectations quite like this. The host is passionate about creating environments that facilitate cultural and language exchange, and I found it amazing that that they offer people who speak Spanish free accomodation in exchange for a few hours of teaching a day. 10/10, will definitely be back.

My friend and I had an unforgettable stay here, and it’s hard to overstate just how fantastic this place is. Let’s start with the unbeatable location: it’s just 20 meters from the sea! Yes, 20 meters. We could step out of our room and be on the shore within seconds, soaking up the stunning Red Sea views. Plus, being right in the center of Dahab means you’re surrounded by vibrant cafes, shops, and local life, making it the perfect base to explore the town. The rooms themselves are an incredible bargain. For less than the price of a hostel bunk, you get your own private room and bathroom. Clean, comfortable, and cozy—what more could you ask for? There’s also a lovely communal area where we loved hanging out, meeting fellow travelers, or just chilling with a book. The hammock was a personal favorite, and the friendly dogs on-site added a charming touch to the laid-back vibe. Breakfast deserves a special mention. The traditional Egyptian breakfast was a delightful start to the day—full of local flavors that we truly enjoyed. That said, it might not be for everyone if you’re used to something more continental, but for us, it was part of the authentic experience. Alaska Camp Hotel strikes the perfect balance between affordability, comfort, and charm. If you're visiting Dahab and want to be close to the sea, immersed in the town’s vibrant energy, and surrounded by friendly vibes without breaking the bank, this is the place to be.
