The tent was very comfortable and clean, staff attentive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. But the best thing was the safaris. Well planned with extremely knowledgeable guides. Especially Mark is a walking encyclopedia of local history, geography and fauna and passed on his enthusiasm for the local wildlife. Thoroughly recommended.

This is a very well run camp close to Yala NP. We stayed in a family tent which was great with two tents joined together and plenty of space. Dinner is outside around a fire, which is very atmospheric. Nice small details with tasty afternoon tea and some activities such as basketball and badminton. Great place to stay, with excellent staff.

Where do I begin... What an experience! We were picked up exactly at the time they said by the great jeep that already put us in the safari mood. We were expexting a nice tent but were blown away by the size of the tent and how comfortable it was. The dinner was nice as was the lunch the next day, but we didn´t come for food. THE BEST things were the night walk (scary!!!!) and the safari tour the next day and we had a great guide, Jelo, who made it extra fun and informative. Great sense of humor and an all round great guy! We saw the leopard! And monkeys, water buffalos, crocodiles, the list is long. The scenery took our breath away. Everything ran like clock work, very professional and friendly.

Staying at this treehouse was the best decision we made for our Yala safari trip! It felt like living out a childhood dream—sleeping high among the trees in a cozy, clean space with everything we needed. The property is huge and full of charm: a beautiful BBQ spot by the firepit, a swing made from a tree trunk, and torch-lit pathways perfect for evening walks. The safari experience began right at the location—just outside the grounds, there’s a small watering hole where animals come to drink! The host was incredibly kind and helpful—he arranged our transfer, cooked delicious meals, and made sure we lacked nothing. The only minor downside was that the only power outlets were in the host’s house, but we managed just fine with power banks. A few extra tips: - The shower is outdoors (summer-style), but in the Sri Lankan heat, that’s actually a plus! - Bring cat food—there’s an adorable little cat crew here. - Book at least 2-3 nights; we didn’t want to leave! With only a few treehouses (I think three, maybe more being built?), it’s great for small or large groups. One of the most unique and atmospheric places I’ve ever stayed—highly recommend!

Nilanthal and Elizabeth are amazing hosts. They are very knowledgeable safari guides. We had an amazing half day safari with Elizabeth where we had a very close encounter with a leopard, it was truly amazing. They are very passionate about the area and the wildlife. The tents are very comfortable and the evening dinner around the campfire under the stars was incredible.

Lovely staff, beautiful property and the rooms are stunning. Very comfortable and homely in the rooms. We appreciated the staffs attentiveness and they really wanted us to enjoy our stay. They also organised a safari for us at Yala and the location of the villa is great for that!
