Wonderful little spot. I loved sitting in the balcony and watching the birds. Beautiful surroundings and very cozy place. I loved it. Only regret is not having booked two nights. It felt very short.

The accommodation was terrific and the setting was wonderful. Tranquil forest with an abundance of wildlife at the doorstep. Great walking trails are also available directly from the accommodation (no need to pack the car!). An easy picturesque drive from Cairns and a world away from the hustle and bustle.

Staff were really friendly, gave great recommendations on where to see everything! We had a cassowary under our deck, we found leaf tailed geckos, boyds forrest dragons, platypus swimming in the lakes, possums on our deck and HEAPS of bird and possums on our deck at night time! We even saw the tree kangaroos, Ulysses butterflies, pandemelons and a nothern bandicoot! and It was an unforgettable stay! We will be back!

Amazing private treehouse set among bush and overlooking the crater. Quiet, Spacious and comfortable with everything that you would need. Freshly baked scones waiting on our arrival. Great spread of local foods for the complimentary breakfast. The deck overlooked the crater, perfect for watching the wildlife, complete with the friendly possum. BBQ provided. Complimentary port. The small touches were truely appreciated.

All cabins in Butchers Creek

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

A fantastic breakfast hamper and cozy fireplace. Lack of mobile service was also great.

We loved being immersed in nature yet still close to Tablelands spots for day activities. Loved the spa bath, fireplace & outdoor deck especially.

The two storey wooden house was delightful, had a beautiful outlook and had wood for the fire and some yummy supplies. Lots of hot water for the big bath that looked out to the rainforest. David was very helpful.
