The room is clean and sanitary, there is a laundry room, it is very convenient to travel out, the hotel is near the snack, from Wulingyuan National Forest Park is also very close, special reception staff service is very good, help us plan the tour route, very enthusiastic, really recommend, great.

The guy at the desk is simply unbelievable. He went beyond what you we expect. Though he dod not speak english at all ,he used his translator device and sat down with us to help us get the tickets,plan oue trip to the national park and other requests. He made our sray and visit to the park a lot easier. Facilities were good. Breakfast better than other hotels that we stayed in.

The team, Frankie and the tea master where all very nice. The swimming pool is even nicer than on the picture with a beautiful view.

Our stay at Guanyunshan Homestay was an absolute highlight of our Zhangjiajie trip! Tucked just 300 meters from the South Gate of the National Forest Park, the location is unbeatable—we could reach the park entrance in a leisurely 5-minute stroll. Waking up to mist-shrouded quartzite peaks from our private balcony felt like living in a painting. The hosts went above and beyond: they prepared herbal foot baths after long hiking days, customized a vegetarian breakfast with local wild vegetable dumplings, and even arranged a private bilingual guide who revealed hidden viewpoints ahead of tourist crowds. The room seamlessly blended traditional Tusheng architecture with modern comforts (think heated floors and rainfall showers). What truly stood out was the proactive service—they contacted us pre-arrival to coordinate luggage storage and secured park tickets during peak season. If you seek authenticity over luxury, this family-run gem delivers soul-stirring moments you won’t find at chain hotels.

Exceptional Hospitality!​​ Our stay at Hua Ting Guesthouse was an unforgettable part of our Zhangjiajiaje experience. The main reason for our visit was to see the "Avatar Mountains," and this guesthouse proved to be the perfect choice. The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from the South Gate of the National Forest Park. This allowed us to get an early start to beat the crowds to the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area (where the "Hallelujah Mountain" pillar is). After a long day of hiking and being amazed by the floating peaks that inspired the world of Pandora, it was such a relief to know a comfortable and welcoming place was so close by. The highest praise, however, goes to the owner, Mrs. Wang. Her service was absolutely outstanding! She is not only incredibly warm and friendly but also highly professional. Upon our arrival, she sat down with us with a detailed map and gave us a brilliant itinerary to optimize our time. She explained exactly which buses to take, the best order to see the sights, and even the perfect timing to catch the sunset. Her advice saved us so much time and confusion. She made us feel like family, always asking about our day and offering us tea. Her hospitality truly made our trip seamless and much more enjoyable. The guesthouse itself is charming, very clean, and has a lovely, peaceful courtyard—a great place to relax in the evening. The rooms are cozy and well-maintained. If you are visiting Zhangjiajie for the Avatar mountains, look no further. You not only get great value and location but also the invaluable, kind guidance from Mrs. Wang. We cannot recommend Hua Ting Guesthouse highly enough! Thank you for making our trip so special!

I had a wonderful stay in Zhangjiajie! The location was absolutely perfect, offering a clear and stunning view of Tianmen Mountain. The room itself was beautiful, well-appointed, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. The hosts were incredibly kind and generous, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area! The location was not only quiet and peaceful, overlooking a beautiful landscape, but also very convenient. It was just a short distance from the Tianmen Mountain cable car, making it easy to explore the area. The airport and train station were also easily accessible, which made travelling to and from the property very simple. It’s the perfect balance of tranquillity and convenience. Our hosts, David and his wife, were exceptionally kind and generous. They made us feel truly welcome from the start and went above and beyond to make our stay special. They even shared their Autumn Festival celebration with us, prepared a lovely breakfast, and thoughtfully arranged a taxi for our departure. Their home was beautiful, and their warm hospitality made the entire stay incredibly pleasant, leaving us with wonderful and lasting memories.

We had an excellent stay at the Yang Family Courtyard Homestay. Our host, Longjing, was exceptionally kind and helpful throughout our stay. Initially, we weren’t sure if staying near the west entrance of the park was a good idea, as we couldn’t find much information online—being the less touristic entrance. In the end, it turned out to be a great choice and very convenient. The best part of entering from the west entrance is that you go against the flow of the crowds. We were there during high season and saw long queues forming in the direction of the east entrance. Longjing helped us book everything in advance, suggested the routes we could take for the next day, and drove us to the west entrance every morning (just 5 minutes by car) and picked us up every afternoon to return to the homestay. Her help was invaluable, as most of the information available is in Chinese. The homestay is very new and well-equipped. The bed is huge and extremely comfortable. Since the homestay is located away from big cities or towns, they offer the option to have dinner on-site. The ingredients are sourced directly from their garden, and the chef’s cooking is absolutely amazing! We definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Lovely hotel next to the wonder of the world. This is a very cozy and comfortable hotel, with hospitable people who will help in everything and feed if you did not have time to have dinner. We were fed with dumplings and wontons, they were very tasty and fresh. The hotel is close to the second lift to the top and Fairy Fox Theater. The beds are comfortable, the blankets are large and soft. There are air conditioners, balcony. The towels are soft and absorb moisture well. Excellent and soft toothbrushes. On the ground floor there is a massage chair and billiards.
