We recently had the pleasure of staying at this hidden gem. The mule pick-up service added a unique touch, making us feel like true adventurers as we arrived at the property. Our room had breathtaking views and we couldn't get enough of the ever-changing panorama and the sounds of the river stream and birds around us. We enjoyed Polo's culinary skills, showcasing local flavors and ingredients. The chocolate tour was an absolute highlight! Learning about the process while indulging in treats was an experience we won't soon forget. Also the inclusion of local fruits from the grounds was a delightful touch. It felt like a genuine connection to the land and its offerings. From the moment we arrived to the second we left, Polo's warm hospitality and attention to detail were evident. ´Ici, c´est le paradis!'. This place is so beautiful and quiet! The host Juliette and Massimo (and of course Tinto the dog) were so friendly and helpful and made it an unforgettable stay! The rooms were very spatious for our family of 5, and we really enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and living room. Also my ´amigo´ Frankil the mototaxi driver was always available to bring me to the supermarket or other places.

We liked everything about the property and the staff who were there when you needed them and were nowhere to be seen when you didn’t need them. The accommodation itself was fantastic. We had the cabin with the sea view. It was a little bit of a trek to get there up a steep climb but well worth it. The accommodation had hot and cold water, air-conditioning and electricity with a small microwave inside and coffee making facilities With complimentary coffee of course. the place was immaculately clean and the staff were always on the hand and extremely helpful during our stay I had my birthday there and the staff laid on a special surprise for me around the swimming pool area and then they all sang happy birthday to me All in all. It’s a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend it to anybody. It’s perhaps not suitable to stay in the top cabin for people with disabilities as although it has a concrete path almost all the way to the top, the last bit would be a struggle for people with disabilities . However down in the main area where the dining room, kitchens and reception are the accommodation is perfect for anybody with disabilities. in our group we had one person with a wheelchair who stayed main accommodation area making it easy for him to get to the dining area. The area itself is situated just off of the main coastal road and is within easy access to lots of various beaches along the coastal road all within very easy reach of public transport which will stop outside the entrance to promisedland making day trips out to the beaches very easy

I was worried at first that this might be the wrong choice, since it’s a bit far from the park entrance and the main hiking trail. But this place turned out to be absolutely magical. I would recommend it to anyone. While sitting outside on the little terrace, I saw so much wildlife right in front of the cabin: two types of monkeys, an agouti, parrots, a sloth, a squirrel, iguanas, tons of birds, and even a snake. The cabin itself is super comfortable. It feels cozy, and the bed is really nice. Also, it’s easy to catch a small shuttle or bus from here to both the main park entrance and the starting point of the hike to Cabo San Juan, which makes it a really convenient base. Truly an unforgettable stay in Tayrona.

We stayed in one of the "cabanas" rooms that are open to the sea and it was truly a one-of-a-kind experience, falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves. The mosquito net worked fine and there was a fan, plus with the breeze and good quality mattress it was actually quite comfortable. The staff of the hotel and restaurant / bar are fantastic, special shout out to Juan! The food at the restaurant was some of the best we've had in Colombia, including a very generous breakfast. The pool area was great to relax too. The beach by the hotel is probably one of the cleanest and nicest in the region. Viewing the sunset both on the river where you can observe caymans, and on the oceans where you can watch surfers, was a great experience.

The hostel far exceeded our expections with a wonderful greeting from our host, Carmen, who was always happy, smiling and helpful. Due to the price we paid, we expected a much cheaper feeling, but everything from the facilities to the personnel was excellent. While there's no food on the premises a small restaurant very nearby has one of the best menus of the day, we've had in Colombia! The breakfast on site was per plate instead of a buffet, which meant it was freshly made.
