What a wonderful place and hosts. From the moment we arrived we were greeted with warmth, openness and baked goods! The chalet was built with their own hands and while a little basic, it was exactly what we wanted. The drive to the farm is past wonderful hills and lakes and we would have loved to spend many more days hiking the area, it left us with a desire to come back and visit Donegal for longer. It should be noted that there was barely any wifi reception which we needed to plan our route for the next day but with a little persistence we were able to connect for long enough for this purpose. In the evening Marion and Fiona gave us a little demo on their fiddles and we were very grateful to hear about their lives in Ireland and the centrality of music.

I had a fantastic stay at this property! From the moment I arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The place was impeccably clean, which made me feel instantly comfortable. The location was excellent convenient and peaceful making it easy to get around. What truly set this property apart were the amenities. They were not just good they were the best of the best. Everything from the kitchenware to the entertainment options was top-notch and clearly chosen with the guest experience in mind. I was especially impressed by the care the hosts took in providing materials for guests. Whether it was toiletries, or little extras around the house, it was all done with great thought and generosity. It made the stay feel both luxurious and welcoming. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-appointed, and truly guest-focused stay!

Ryan and Wendy were warm and welcoming and could not have tried harder to make my stay relaxed and enjoyable. Dolmen Lodge is the perfect spot to get away from it all. It is ideally situated in a beautiful area and comes with an amazing sea view. We couldn’t believe how well furnished it was and the bed was so comfortable. Margaret was a fantastic host - the homemade bread and shortbread were a lovely touch. We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough and will definitely be back!!!

Ideal location, just 4 mins drive to Donegal town. House itself is beautiful, clean and well maintained. Fully fitted big kitchen, beautiful conservatory type dining room, two living rooms, 4 big bedrooms with ensuite and a common bathroom in ground floor. It was such a great house and we enjoyed our stay! There was easter eggs and a wine bottle on the hall table to welcome us, which was sweet!

Everything was excellent, our host Jonathan very warm and welcoming. Fridge filled with milk, orange juice, jams, butter and yoghurts, an assortment of breakfast cereal, a tray containing soda bread, biscuits, crisps, drinks, just perfect.
