As we don't speak Japanese, she assisted us on information for the road condition of 292 route as it was snowing and we did not have snow tyres. Staying at White Tree Lodge felt like visiting family Hayden and Saki are great hosts who do everything to help and make your stay enjoyable, room and lodge facilities comfortable, great location close to ski lifts and other restaurants in the village, and the home cooked Japanese food in the white tree restaurant was delicious with a great variety on menu. I have been skiing in Japan for 15 years and white tree is a definite standout and would highly recommended

Even so I stayed only one night, I felt felt really welcomed from the first step in the Hotel. The owner was very friendly and warm. They cooked a very good dinner for me. After a perfect and silent night in the very cozy bed. I enjoyed a great breakfast before I was driven by car to the bus station by the owner. I can absolutely recommend this place.

The staff were exceptional, nothing was too much to ask. The location was great, just off the main strip (15 min walk or the staff drove us there and back) which meant it was super quiet and relaxing. 100m walk until you can click in and ski down to the main lift! The facilities are unreal, private onsens on site to help recover after a long day on the slopes.

Fantastic property. We came for a ski holiday and wanted a smaller/quieter resort as one of us was a beginner. The property is located right next to Madarao Ski area, literally less than a 2 minute walk to the slopes that take you down to the main runs. Theres a dry room for your ski boots/gloves and a ski storage area - super duper convenient! Rooms were great, although we spent most our times on the slopes - the duvet was extremely comfy and we had a great nights sleep every single night :) Naoko San and Axel (miniature schnauzer) are unbelievably friendly and welcoming. Breakfast every morning was also such a treat!
