For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

An absolute paradise, surrounded by beautiful nature. We only stayed one night but wished we could have lingered for longer!
A lovely, clean chalet with a busy waterhole view - we saw a steady stream of Kudu, zebras, a warthog, guinea fowl and springbok, without leaving our terrace!
The views (and food) at the Eagle’s Nest are unbeatable, and well worth the climb.
Sparkling clean pool surrounded by a lovely, well maintained garden - pause for a minute and you will observe so much bird life.

There are quite a few steps around the lodge and too and from the chalets. I'm 72 with a lung condition and explained this on arrival...as a consequence of which I was given a chalet close to the pool and dining room which made my stay much more comfortable.
The location is outstanding...shades of Monument Valley in the U.S.
The light changes constantly...very engaging place. Food was very good.
Very helpful couple run the show. I enjoyed it.
