We stayed at Utupoa for 8 days over New Years Eve and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The host Joyce and her familiy and also the staff were very warm and welcoming, we immediately became familiy! Thank you very much for a great experience. The rooms are very spacious and kept very clean. The location right at the beach is perfect! If the water is far out at low tide you could cool down in the pool which was perfectly clean all the times. Breakfast and dinner are served on a long table for everyone so you can easily connect with new people. Meals are very fresh and of great quality. Joyce and her family care for everything you need! Be it a spicetour, a taxi to the airport or to explore Stonetown or a snorkelingtour with dolphins or help with your luggage that didn't make it to Zanzibar, they help you with everything. We would love to come back next year or any time soon!

Absolutely the best place we stayed in Zanzibar! The breakfast was so good. The room was cleaned properly, and we left with a new friend. The groundskeeper was so nice and we had and meaningful conversations with him and he was always doing what he could to make us comfortable. We recommend this place!

Excellent stay! Breakfasts and dinners were very tasty, and the staff was always polite and helpful — they took care of every request we had. The location is perfect, right by the sea with a clean and beautiful ocean view. The security team is always present, making sure no beach sellers disturb the guests. Overall, it’s a peaceful and comfortable place to relax and enjoy Zanzibar. Highly recommended!

The property is absolutely beautiful, and the service exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend ordering a cocktail from the bartender – he is very professional, and the drinks were excellent. We requested a late check-out, and the staff kindly accommodated us without any additional charge. The spa therapist was outstanding – I booked treatments with her twice, and she truly has golden hands.

The property was nearby the main road, spacious and everything was good. There is hotwater. The owner was really nice and make your stay perfect. The breakfast was big and tasty. I recommend this property. Also there is a swimming pool.

The staff- from the reception to the restaurant to room service, everything was exceptional. Very welcoming, respectful and always checking to see if everything was okay. My favourite was syril, his customer service skills were top notch!. Anna was also super welcoming! The food- This was the highlight of the trip. From seafood to fruits, everything tasted very good. Would I change anything in the meals if asked? Not at all. Hats off to the chef/s The hotel has activities you can do while staying there. From mnemba island to reef tours, this was very great. Less hustle for the guests. The place is quiet and peaceful. With rooms overlooking the ocean and a pool This is honestly the best place to stay in Zanzibar!
