Beautiful little gem in Cederberg. The unit was clean and very comfortable, especially the beds. Showers were amazing. Modern with a big showerhead. Borehole water was so soft on your skin. Drinking water out of a tap was amazing, crystal clear water. The outdoor tub is a plus, especially at night, as the stars are exquisite. The waterfall trail is a must.

Rocklands Eco Retreat is the perfect example of an ingenious use of space and the surrounding landscape to create an extraordinary escape filled with silence, solitude and exceptional scenery. Indoors is immaculately and stylishly furnished and the ample windows make you feel like you're outside when you're inside. Quite literally, this is a "room with a view" and, somehow, you experience a "melting into nature" that's difficult to describe. The outdoor shower is simply sensational - we'll have to try the outdoor bath next time.... The vistas and views are incredible and the places of interest in the surrounding vacinity are well worth visiting. For example, at the Hen House (across the road), we tasted (and procured) olives (lots), olive oil (lots) and wine (lots and lots). This Rocklands couple's destination was by far our best accommodation choice during our twelve-day road trip! Thank you to Simon and team for a perfect experience!

We loved that it was "off the grid". A picturesque setting where you can breathe in the fresh air and beautiful surrounding with your loved ones. All necessary appliances were at hand and there were small touches we appreciated, like, rusks, quality coffee and tea AND a Jaffle maker! :)

All cabins in Cederberg

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

The first thing that captured my heart was the panoramic view that greeted me upon arrival. The cabin was strategically perched, offering a sweeping vista of the rugged Cederberg Mountains. The sight of the rocky peaks, tinged with the warm hues of the setting sun, created a magical backdrop that made each moment feel like a painting come to life. Whether sipping a morning coffee or stargazing in the evening, the view from the cabin's vantage point was simply breathtaking.

Rocklands Eco Retreat is one of the most stunning places we’ve stayed at during our trip in South Africa. We absolutely loved the location, beautiful nature around us, and felt right at home at the cabin. Well thought space, great amenities, nicely designed, very comfortable, and great value for money. Communication with the hosts was perfect, and they made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We would recommend this place to everyone!

We loved our stay at Mount Ceder. Our cabin was set in the most picturesque surroundings with an outdoor hot tub and everything we needed for our stay. It was so peaceful and the stars were breathtaking at night. We ordered a braai box one evening which was particularly great. We also did the full day guided hike which we would thoroughly recommend - it was a unique opportunity to explore the Cederberg area and learn about the native plants and animals. We definitely recommend Mount Ceder as an excellent place to stay in Cederberg!
