Guests can take in the views of the mountain from the balcony, which also has outdoor furniture. For added privacy, the accommodation features a private entrance. Both my parents-in-law and our family (2 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 10) drove electric cars on the holiday, so it was fantastic that both cars could take turns charging directly in the driveway at the cabin. After booking, there was clear communication with the owner, Guy, who sent us a welcome letter with all the information. The cabin has everything you could possibly need to continue your usual daily life. The kitchen is well equipped with a large stove and a multi-function oven with microwave. There are all kinds of kitchen appliances, pots, and utensils. Unlike other rental cabins, Schwalmhütte is not emptied of things like freezer bags, garbage bags, foil, cling film, baking paper, or dishwasher tablets between guests, which is really great! That way, there is always something left for the next guests. So remember to leave a little yourself to keep it going. You just need to bring your own tea towels, cloths, toilet paper, and kitchen roll. And of course, it’s a huge plus that there is a dishwasher in the kitchen and a combined washer/dryer on the first floor, so you can wash all your clothes before going home – ideal when travelling with children. There are shutters on all windows, which is by far the most effective way to keep the whole house cool and secure while you’re out exploring. When you come home at the end of the day, you can roll them up, and it’s pleasantly cool, even on the first floor. Even the WiFi in the cabin worked well, and although all six of us were online with different devices, we still had around 50 Mbps up and down. In other words, you very quickly feel at home at Schwalmhütte. It’s within walking distance to the swimming complex and the town. We also had some nice chats with the friendly neighbours in the area.

The property is not far from the ski area Nassfeld which is great. It is very comfortable, offers more than the visitors can expect, great mattresses, enough bathrooms, very well equiped kitchen, beautiful views, close to a grocery store and much more. The communication with the owners weas very efficient.

The property is non-smoking and is located 39 km from Fortress Landskron. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, modern house in a quiet but beautiful corner of Austria. The views from the kitchen / living area are simply spectacular, the kitchen is very well equipped (oven, induction stove, microwave, dishwasher, but also plenty of plates, cutlery, glassware, pots and other kitchen utensils). Not too many options within walking distance, but by car you have a broad choice of stores or restaurants to visit plus of course the option to cross the border into Italy. Christoph was a welcoming host who also provided us with some useful recommendations for our stay. Definitely recommended!
