The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the overall quietness of the location meant that every morning we woke up refreshed and ready to tackle the day's adventures. The lodge’s amenities and its serene setting contributed to a feeling of exclusive privacy and comfort. For anyone visiting Rapa Nui, I cannot recommend Kona Koa Lodge enough. The beach is just a 3 minute walk down a coastal path. All rooms offer an ocean view and are equipped with a private bathroom. Some rooms have also a private balcony. So chic and cozy! Perfect location in front of the beach.

Ahu Tongariki is 20 km from the lodge, while Hanga Roa Anthropological Museum is 2.8 km away. Mataveri International Airport is 5 km from the property, and the property offers a free airport shuttle service. The property itself is excellent. However it desperately needs air con as u cook inside the pods. The fan was almost non existent in the brutal heat. The staff were excellent but u need translation as English is not spoken. Pick up and drop off to the airport was very welcome. If u want to be close to the action tho, it’s not for you. Half hour walk to town in the heat isn’t doable. You need a car or scooter. It’s off the beaten track. The pool is a bonus but if ur in Easter island surely u won’t be laying around a pool at any time
